Jack Draper’s dream start to Wimbledon, with a shockingly dominant win over the retiring Sebastian Baez, hasn’t gone unnoticed. The bookies have trimmed his outright odds, but we still think they’re miles off. Right now, a £10 punt on the British No.1 could return £110. For our money, that’s still an ace of a bet.

Jack Draper’s still behind four in the outright odds at 10/1, but if you ask us, he’s ready to serve up superstardom on a global stage.

We think they’ve swung and missed on a few of these — here’s why.
Carlos Alcaraz – 11/10 Odds are Wide of the Mark
He’s a former Wimbledon champion, a four-time majors winner, and a former World No.1 on a 19-match winning streak, of course he’s the favourite.
But he’s already shown signs of vulnerability. Fognini gave him a much tougher first-round match than expected, and frankly, Alcaraz shouldn't have had that much trouble.
Make no mistake—Alcaraz is very, very good. Just not near-evens good. For a No.1 seed who nearly bowed out in round one, we’d say those odds should be at least twice as long.
Jannik Sinner – 6/4 Odds on Serving Up Sweet Vengeance Against the World Number One
Another player with a perfect start, Jannik Sinner absolutely annihilated fellow countryman Luca Nardi in a straight set victory to kick off his Wimbledon journey. And the Italian himself sounds thrilled to be there.
“If you don't enjoy playing on these courts, I don't know where you will enjoy. I'm very happy to be here, so let's see what is coming.”
So, a great performance, spectacular serving, and a winning attitude to boot, what could go wrong for the world number one?
Well, we’ve already seen it. A five-set defeat to Carlos Alcaraz at last month’s French Open still looms large, showing the Italian can come undone when the pressure’s on. That said, 6/4 odds feel spot on and are well worth considering.
Novok Djokovic – Sickness Stalls Serbian Sensation
We feel like we don’t need to tell you why Djokovic is a favourite. I mean, come on, he’s an absolute legend. He’s a top pick anywhere he turns up with a racket. But we think the bookies set these odds with stars in their eyes.
He’s battling a stomach sickness so bad it nearly put an end to his very first match of the tournament against Alex Muller. We’d never count him out — after all, he’s the most consistently successful player in Wimbledon history.
That said, if you’re sick, you’re sick, even if you’re the greatest of all time. 5/1 odds? We think that’s optimistic. We’d put him closer to 10/1, so we wouldn’t back the Belgrade Beast this time around.
Jack Draper – 10/1 Odds are Your Best Shot of the Tournament
We don’t just think 10/1 odds are off — we believe this is the moment. Jack Draper is ready to climb the beanstalk of tennis immortality and firmly establish himself as the sport’s next big thing by winning Wimbledon.
Baez’s early retirement due to injury in the first round was a shame, but Draper showed no signs of hesitation or weakness regardless.
It feels like the peak of a magical 12 months for the British number one. This year alone he made the Madrid final, reached the US Open semi-finals, and claimed titles in Vienna and Indian Wells with the latter coming at the expense of Wimbledon favourite Carlos Alcaraz.
With all the tools to take it to the next level here, we’d peg Draper’s true chance at around 25%, more than double what the bookies are offering. When it comes to value, those odds serve up the perfect match point.
