The octagon will host a rare third showdown between Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier. It’s a legendary fight and will be the fourth BMF Title fight. We’ve got all the latest news, odds and tips from Louisiana.

Dustin Poirier will step into the octagon for the final time, and there’s no more fitting opponent than Max Holloway, who fought his first fight against Poirier. The best UFC betting sites have spoken, and here are the odds:
Fighter | Odds to Win | Bookmaker |
---|---|---|
Max Holloway | 8/11 | bet365 |
Dustin Poirier | 6/5 | William Hill |
The bookies are backing Holloway to finally beat Poirier after two losses. The pair first fought in 2012, and Holloway lost in his UFC debut via submission. The second fight, in 2019, was for the Interim Lightweight belt. In a much closer contest, Poirier won again in a unanimous decision.
Holloway vs Poirier 3 Betting Odds & Tips
Fancy placing a bet on the fight? We’ve got a few markets which have the potential to offer good value. Here’s what we found with bet365:
Market | Odds |
---|---|
Over 4.5 Rounds | 31/50 |
Holloway: Win by: KO, TKO, DQ or decision | 83/100 |
Holloway: Win by Decision or Technical Decision | 8/5 |
Bet 1: Over 4.5 rounds – 31/50
We expect the bout to go on for the long haul, just like their last fight. It’s a safer bet if you don't want to predict a winner, and the odds are still quite good. You can also take a slightly bigger risk and bet on ‘To Go the Distance’ at 1.68.
Bet 2: Holloway: Win by: KO, TKO, DQ or decision – 83/100
If you’re a bit more convinced about a winner, which we are, you can bet on a double chance method of victory. This bet basically covers every method of victory for Holloway, bar a submission. Holloway has only managed a submission in 5% of his fights, and is unlikely to manage it against Poirier.
Bet 3: Holloway: Win by Decision or Technical Decision – 8/5
If you’re expecting a close fight, you can bet on the bout being called by a decision or technical decision. Both fighters have it in them to go the distance, and then a decision has to be taken. We think if that happens, it’ll be in the Hawaiian's favour.

BMF Title Lineage
“We’re fighting for the baddest mother****er in the game belt, and that’s mine.” That’s all Nate Diaz needed to say to create the BMF title, while calling out Masvidal for a fight in a post-fight octagon interview with Joe Rogan.
The first BMF saw Masvidal beat Diaz, and The Rock handing the BMF belt to the American.
Dustin Poirier featured in the second BMF fight, but lost to a second-round head kick against Justin Gaethje. Masvidal presented the BMF title to Gaethje in a passing of the torch moment.
The third BMF Title saw this weekend's other fight, Max Holloway, face BMF champ Justin Gaethje. The pair went the distance, and a haymaker right hand to Gaethje’s chin ended the bout, cementing Holloway's legacy.
Can Poirier win his first BMF, or can Holloway become the first defending champion? Like we said, the bookies are backing Holloway.
