It’s Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League and after a short international break, we are back with the first of two UCL acca bets this week. First up is Tuesday evening’s ensemble, with some monster clashes to look forward to, including Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen vs PSG.

Bet 1: Man City to Beat Villarreal
It’s been a strange buildup to the season for City. They’ve not really been in the conversation to win either the Premier League or Champions League thus far, and there’s some merit to that, given their drop-off in form in the second half of last season. But write Pep Guardiola off at your peril, as this is a team who can still beat anyone on their day.
They’re hitting good form as well. Unbeaten in their last seven (5W, 2D) and should have beaten Monaco in Matchday 2 given the chances they created. Villarreal looked toothless against Spurs and scored late to salvage a point against Juventus.
An in-form Haaland also helps us swallow the 8/11 price for a City win for the first pick of our Champions League acca.
Bet 2: Inter Milan to Beat Union Saint-Gilloise
Last year’s beaten finalists Inter, have got off to a perfect start as they look to go one better this season. They controlled a tricky opener against Ajax to secure a 2-0 win before brushing aside Slavia Prague 3-0 at home to make it two wins from two.
Union Saint-Gilloise got off to a flyer by shocking PSV at home, but were outclassed by a Newcastle side that overran their midfield, inflicting a 4-0 defeat for the Belgians. Inter’s midfield have similar traits to the Geordies, with the likes of Mkhitaryan, Barella and Calhanoglu offering a balance of power, speed and guile, which makes them strong favourites on Tuesday.
Again, 4/6 looks a big price here and we’re backing Inter to make it three from three in Belgium.
Bet 3: Borussia Dortmund vs FC Copenhagen Over 2.5 Goals
Dortmund have kicked off their Champions League campaign with a bang. A thrilling 4-4 draw with Juventus was followed by a thumping 4-1 win over Athletic Club at home, making that 13 goals across the two games.
FC Copenhagen have also been in amongst the goals, with a plucky 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in their opener before a 2-0 defeat to Qarabag FK in a game they had more than enough chances to get something from. Over 2.5 goals is a huge price at 4/5 and is the value bet of Matchday 3.
Bet 4: Olympiacos Over 2.5 Team Corners vs Barcelona
Barcelona head into their game against Olympiacos as eye-wateringly short 2/11 favourites. With this being of zero interest in a game they should comfortably win, we’ve been drawn towards an interesting corner betting opportunity.
Our corner betting stats show that Olympiacos have cleared over 2.5 team corners in each of their last 10 matches, including both of their opening UCL matches against Arsenal (5) and Pafos (9). Barcelona’s last five have averaged 5.6 corners conceded, and even though they dominate possession, they’re susceptible to the counter and vulnerable at set pieces. Olympiacos likely won’t get a result, but 10/11 for over 2.5 corners based on the data alone is a huge price.
