The unique challenges of the Mexico City Circuit make qualifying absolutely crucial. Due to the heavy “dirty air” effect, overtaking among the front-runners is rare.

Still, caution is warranted. Verstappen would need to win in Mexico and sweep the remaining five races to overturn the deficit fully. Even then, Piastri could theoretically cling to the lead depending on sprint results.
Meanwhile, Lando Norris remains firmly in contention, adding another twist to an already electrifying title battle.

With five wins in Mexico already under his belt and Red Bull’s improving form, Verstappen is the justified favourite to make it six. But qualifying will be key, so keep an eye on Saturday’s session before locking in your final bets.
