NFL Predictions for Week 13 – 7.0+ Confidence Rating

Texans @ Colts: Confidence 8 – Colts -4.5

It’s not often you see 66% of both the money and volume of bets shift a line six points the other way, but that’s exactly what we have here. Key numbers have been squashed, and we’ve classic reverse line movement for the Texans' trip to Indianapolis. The bookies clearly know who is betting with this one, so it’s time to ride those coattails once again. On the field, it should be a good one. Texans need a win to keep in touch with the Jaguars for playoffs, and while the Colts have rocked a little over the last few weeks, their box office offence, led by QB Daniel Jones, should have enough to get over a -4.5 line at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Bengals @ Ravens: Confidence 7.5 – Ravens -7

We’re trying not to jinx this, but the Bengals have been woeful this season. Eight defeats in their last nine. The lowest time in possession in the league and one of the worst offences to boot. For some reason, the public thinks they will cover +5.5, but its shift to +7 is now a classic case of reverse line movement. Would we have liked the initial -5.5 on the Ravens? Of course. And we’re aware we’re paying a premium for -7, but it’s still the play, even if only based on the market numbers.   

Rams @ Panthers: Confidence 7 – Rams -10.5

Money and the tickets are both with the Panthers, yet the line has moved dramatically from -3 to -10.5. It’s a huge spread, and we’re always cautious with any bet on a team that is over/under 10 points. The bet’s now smashed through two more key numbers (7 and 10), so there’s money that’s come in the bookies are worried about. The Rams are looking like the real deal here. They smoked the Buccs last week and are on a six-game winning streak. It’s a big line, but it still works. If you can get anything lower, then jump on, but even at -10.5, the spread is still in our favour.
