The Premier League returns this weekend after a pulsating round of FA Cup games. With two games to look forward to on Sunday, our betting tips are live as we look ahead to see where the value is in the markets.

On paper, it looks like two intriguing games, so let’s jump in, shall we?

Wolves vs Newcastle United Betting Tips
There are finally some signs of life at Molineux. It’s still highly likely that it’s too little too late, and if they were to survive, it would be a great escape that Steve McQueen would be proud of.
Newcastle’s away form has been nothing short of dire this season, with just two wins from their 10 games. That said, they’ve won their last three in the league, are up to sixth and are grinding out results, rather than blowing teams away.
If we’re only looking at metrics across the season, you could be forgiven for thinking this should be a relatively straightforward away win, and there’s still merit in that bet. But in the short term, Wolves are starting to find a bit of form, and 7/2 to pick up just their second win of the season doesn’t look a bad price.
A slightly more concrete market looks to be the total goals. Wolves are averaging 3.30 goals per game at home, and have covered the over 2.5 total goals in 60% of their home games. For Newcastle, their away games are a little tighter than at St James’ Park, but are still at 2.20 goals combined, covering over 2.5 goals 50% of the time. Odds of 8/11 for over 2.5 goals is our first pick.
Next up, corners. No team averages more total corners per game than Newcastle this season (11.52). A percentage of their attacks come from the wide areas, utilising the pace of Anthony Gordon on the left, and the crossing ability of Jacob Murphy on the right.
Away from home, they average 5.30 per game, the third highest in the league. Wolves play their part in this theory as well, conceding 6.24 corners per game, the most in the league.
Backing Newcastle to get over 5.5 corners at 5/6 looks a good bet and creates a nice double between two, paying a cool 11/5.

Aston Villa vs Everton Betting Tips
Aston Villa are in dreamland right now. They’re third in the league on 43 points and still in with a genuine chance of challenging for the title, should they keep this form up.
Unai Emery is proving, once again, why he’s one of the best coaches in Europe right now, and one of the backbones of his success has been transforming Villa Park into a fortress.
They’ve lost just once at home all season, winning eight and drawing one. Only Arsenal (29) and Manchester City (26) have won more points at home this season than Villa (25).
Everton won’t be a pushover on Sunday. David Moyes’ team is well organised and have a decent record on the road, picking up 13 points this season alone. They welcome back Jack Grealish from suspension to face his former club, but no Michael Keane is a big blow.
Villa look superb value at 4/6 to win on Sunday, which is the first part of our double here.
As in the Wolves vs Newcastle game, for the second part of the bet, the corners market has drawn us in. Villa average 5.10 corners per home game, and Everton concede 5.80 away.
It should be a game where they dominate possession as Everton drop deep to try and frustrate. Generally, they’ve had success getting the ball wide to the likes of Jadon Sancho and Morgan Rogers in tight games, and it could play out a similar theme for this game as well.
The final part of the double is backing Villa to cruise the over 5.5 corners market, priced at 8/11.
