It’s business time in the NFL, and we’re down to the final four. It’s been a pulsating season so far, with plenty of twists and turns. If we’re being honest, we’ve got four surprise packages here from the start of the season, which keeps things interesting from a betting perspective ahead of our NFL Week 21 Conference Championship sharp money and public betting report.

The two favourites to win the Super Bowl go head-to-head in the NFC, with the Seahawks hosting the Rams. It’s the best offence (Rams) against one of the best defences (Seahawks), and for the neutral, hopefully a re-run of the regular-season game, which saw Seattle sneak an overtime win with a whopping 75 total points.

In the AFC, the Patriots travel to Denver to take on the dangerous Broncos. It’s the first time these two franchises have met since 2023, and if we’re being honest, it’s a surprise to see both teams progress as far as they have. To put it in some context, in preseason, the Broncos were 30/1 to win the Super Bowl, and the Patriots were a whopping 125/1.

NFL Week 21 Conference Championship Public Betting and Sharp Money Cheat Sheet

With just two games to pick from, the cheat sheet is looking a little bare this week. But nonetheless, the process remains the same, and we’ve used the best NFL betting sites to see how the lines are holding up based on the split between sharp and public money.

Best Value Predictions for the NFL Conference Playoffs – Top Picks

The markets are, for the most part, looking pretty stable heading into Sunday’s games. At this stage of the season, that’s not uncommon to see, and while there are no huge nuggets to get excited about in terms of line drifts, they are both – surprisingly – still rated as medium, which is a positive.

If you’d said at the start of the season that the 125/1 Patriots would head into a Conference Playoff as a five-point favourite, you’d have been laughed at by most corners of the NFL fanbase. But Mike Vrabel has turned this side around, and they look most likely out of the AFC contenders to disrupt the NFC favourites. It’s a fairly uninspiring line for the most part, with both the money and the public taking the Patriots, but what’s interesting is that the line has shortened ever so slightly from -5 to -5.5. However, it’s not enough to trigger reverse line movement, and we’re seeing this as getting more value for the Patriots to comfortably beat the Broncos, rather than looking in-depth at the what’s and whys.

Rams @ Seahawks: Confidence 5.5 – Seahawks -2.5
toggle

The book is very much balanced in the NFC, and the line at -2.5 suggests this is nothing more than a coin flip. However, we have seen the line drift slightly from -1.5, suggesting the bookies are wary of who has been betting on the Seahawks. We’re following that shift for that exact reason, though our 5.5 confidence rating suggests we’re not all that excited about it. We do like that we get a field goal cushion, though, which is huge in tight games like this. As a word of warning, if this drifts past that key-3 point line, we’d likely flip to the Rams, so shop around for the best prices.
