It’s a bumper set of fixtures for Wednesday’s (12 March 2026) Round of 16 games in the Champions League. We’ve got four former winners of the competition going head-to-head and a value-packed acca paying a cool £94.50 from a £10 bet.

The tie of the night is in Spain, where Real Madrid is hosting Manchester City. It’s the tenth time the teams have met in the last four years and the second time in this season's competition, where Pep Guardiola’s men travelled to the Bernabeu to grab all three points in a 2-1 win in the league stage.

Premier League interest continues with Arsenal heading to Germany to take on Bayer Leverkusen as the Gunners continue the search for their first-ever Champions League title. London rivals Chelsea have it all to do in Paris against the current holders, PSG, in a re-run of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final and finally, the underdogs of the year, Bodo/Glimt, host Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon as their dream run rolls on.

Bet 1: Bayer Leverkusen vs Arsenal Betting Odds – Saliba Over 0.5 Fouls

Defensively, Arsenal have been incredibly good this season. They’ve conceded just four goals in eight games in the Champions League, the fewest of any team to reach this stage of the competition.

They aren’t the free-flowing, dominant team that you’d expect from one of the favourites, and they spend more time than most defending. Which brings us nicely to one of the reasons they are so good at the back: William Saliba.

The Frenchman has been superb in all competitions this season. He and Gabriel have created a monstrous partnership with Saliba playing more of an enforcer role than his Brazilian compatriot.

Saliba’s job is to step in, take risk and break up play. As a result, this leads to a lot of fouls. He’s made eight in his last five UCL starts, and two or more in each of his last three. This could be a game where Arsenal are happy to take a draw and get Leverkusen back to the Emirates, which should bode well for the fouls committed metric. Odds of 1/2 for Saliba to commit over 0.5 fouls is the first of our Champions League betting tips.

Bet 2: Real Madrid vs Man City Predictions – Antoine Semenyo 1+ Shot on Target

Antoine Semenyo’s big-money January transfer from Bournemouth has been a roaring success so far. You’re never quite sure if players who have been a standout at smaller clubs have what it takes to make the step up, but in Semenyo’s case, he’s taken to life at City like a duck to water.

This will be his first Champions League game, and what a game to start. He’s had one or more shots on target in nine of the 11 games that he’s started and has already scored seven times in a City shirt.

Semenyo’s role on the right side of the front three is to cut inside and almost play a 10 behind Haaland. He’s short at 1/2 to get a shot on target on Wednesday night, but he will get space in front of the back four as Haaland occupies both Rudiger and Ascencio, making it a strong pick as part of the acca.

Bet 3: PSG vs Chelsea Odds – Moises Caicedo Over 1.5 Fouls

The jury is still out on whether Moises Caicedo warrants that obscene £115 million transfer fee that Chelsea paid to secure his services from Brighton, but there’s no doubt that he’s been excellent this season and is becoming one of the best CMs in the world.

His aggressive nature instantly draws us to the fouls market, which is an area we’ve had success with Caicedo in the past. He’s made 14 fouls in seven Champions League appearances this season and has covered the over 1.5 fouls in six of those games.

Going head-to-head with the likes of Vitinha and Joao Neves is almost certainly going to see those numbers jump again, and 8/11 for over 1.5 fouls is another solid pick.

Bet 4: Bodo/Glimt vs Sporting Lisbon Betting Preditions – Bodo/Glimt to Win

What a run it’s been for Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt, making the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time. They’ve had some incredible results along the way, beating Man City, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan twice in the knockout phase, plus drawing with Dortmund, Tottenham and Slavia Prague.

They’ve got a favourable tie against Sporting Lisbon to look forward to, and it’s not crazy to suggest that they’re in great shape to make the quarter-final stage. Odds of 8/5 to beat Sporting on Wednesday looks a huge price given the names of teams they’ve already chalked off.
