Bet 1: Over 2.5 Sets

Maja Chwalinska has been in Paris for three weeks now, going all the way from the qualifiers to the grand final. It’s no surprise she’s having hotel troubles… she’s practically a resident.

During her time in the French capital, the Pole has only conceded one set, which came against Maria Sakkari in the third round.

Standing across the net will be Mirra Andreeva, whose rapid rise has already established her as one of the most dangerous players on the WTA Tour. Despite being just 19 years old, the Russian already possesses the experience and composure of a seasoned Grand Slam contender.

Given how good both players have been over recent weeks, I’m backing the over 2.5 sets bet. Priced at 9/5, there’s a lot of value for a bet that landed in three of the previous five women’s French Open finals.

Bet 2: Over 20.5 Games

If my prediction about a three-set final is correct, then mathematically, there will be at least 18 games played.

Realistically speaking, the chances of all three sets ending 6-0 are slim. With that in mind, I’m backing the over 20.5 games bet.

Three of the previous five women’s finals at the French Open have seen this bet land, and I’m backing the trend to continue.

Bet 3: Mirra Andreeva to Win

Forget Hollywood. Chwalinska’s fairytale run at Roland Garros is something that only the tennis gods could have conjured up.

The Pole has become the first qualifier in history to reach the women's singles final in Paris and now stands one win away from completing one of the greatest underdog stories of all time.

However, getting through Andreeva will be a stiff task.

The 19-year-old has only lost one set on her way to the final, and she comfortably beat Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk in a game with an additional political spotlight.

A semi-finalist in Paris last year, Andreeva arrives with valuable experience of the latter stages of Grand Slams. Her ability to absorb pressure, extend rallies and force errors should prove crucial.

Chwalinska has exceeded all expectations, but Andreeva appears to have the tools required to end the fairytale run and claim her maiden Grand Slam title.
