Bet 1: Germany to Win the Group
One bad FIFA World Cup for the Germans is unfortunate. Two bad World Cups is a national disaster. Germany have crashed out in the group stage at the last two tournaments, and Julian Nagelsmann will be desperate to make sure there isn't a hat-trick of disasters this summer.
The good news? This group looks about as friendly as Germany could have hoped for. On paper, Die Mannschaft should have too much quality for Curacao, the Ivory Coast and Ecuador.
Now, before anyone points it out, we all said something similar before Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022. Germany have made a habit of turning straightforward assignments into brain surgery in recent years.
But this feels different. Nagelsmann appears to have found the right formula, with Germany winning nine internationals on the spin. They've also rediscovered their shooting boots, rattling in three or more goals in five of those victories.
At 4/9, you're hardly buying a Lamborghini if this lands. The value hunters will probably scroll straight past it. But in a group lacking obvious angles, backing Germany to finish top feels like the smart play.

Bet 2: Curacao to Score Over 0.5 Goals
Curacao are making their World Cup debut, and the expectations on their shoulders are minimal. Seriously, nobody thinks they’ll win a point.
Dick Advocaat’s men are firm favourites to finish bottom of the group, with the bookmakers pricing them at around the 1/16 mark to take that coveted fourth spot.
Bearing in mind those dreadful odds, I’m turning my attention to the goals market. Curacao scored 28 goals in 10 World Cup qualifying matches while also finding the net five times across their last two friendlies.
Looking at those numbers, I’m backing Curacao to score at least once during the group stage – a bet that is currently available at around the 4/11 mark.

Bet 3: Ivory Coast to Win Exactly 4 Points
Ivory Coast are back, but how far can they realistically go in their first World Cup campaign since 2014?
Given the African side has beaten South Korea, Scotland and France in the lead up to the tournament, I’m backing them to do quite well.
Emerse Fae’s men are priced at 11/4 with some of the best football betting sites to win four points in the group – a total which could see them progress to the knockout stage.
Realistically speaking, I can see the Ivory Coast beating World Cup newcomers Curacao. I can also see them losing to heavyweights Germany.
The game against Ecuador is a tricky one to call, but considering the South American side has drawn seven of their last 11 outings, a stalemate is well on the cards.
