Bet 1: Max Holloway to Beat Conor McGregor
Five years is a long time to be out of any job… never mind MMA.
Since McGregor's last UFC appearance, Holloway has fought eight times, picking up recent statement wins over Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.
The spotlight will inevitably be on McGregor, but from a betting perspective, Holloway looks like the value play. Activity matters in this sport, and Holloway has continued to prove he belongs among the elite.
McGregor has only tasted one victory since 2016, and in my mind, all the hype is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. I’m lumping my cash on his Hawaiian opponent.
What time does UFC 329 start in UK?
UFC 329 starts in the UK with the preliminary card at 12:00am BST (midnight), Saturday going into Sunday. The main card begins at 2:00am BST, and the main event between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway is expected to start at around 4:00 am BST.
Bet 2: Benoit Saint Denis vs Paddy Pimblett Over 2.5 Rounds
What a fight this promises to be!
Looking at Benoit Saint Denis, he’s got a fierce striking style, powerful punches and a nasty clinch in his arsenal.
Paddy Pimblett, on the other hand, has technical superiority. If the fight goes down to the mat, the floppy-haired Scouser will fancy his chances.
This is a real 50-50 encounter and I think there’s serious value in backing the over 2.5 rounds market at 5/4.
How to watch UFC 329 in the UK?
In the UK, UFC 329 will be shown exclusively on TNT Sports Box Office. You can buy the pay-per-view for £19.99.
Bet 3: Cory Sandhagen KO win vs Mario Bautista
Seven years on from their first fight, Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista will once again share the octagon.
In those seven years, Sandhagen has shared the cage with elite fighters in the bantamweight division and even challenged for the title on a couple of occasions.
Bautista has not reached those same heights, which is why I’m leaning towards a Sandhagen win. With William Hill boosting their odds for a KO victory, I have no other choice but to back ‘The Sandman’ to get the job done before the final bell.

UFC 329 Parlay
Let’s take things up a notch. I’ve picked out a winner in each of the five fights on the main card to create a tasty parlay.
| Selections | Odds |
|---|---|
| Max Holloway to beat Conor McGregor | 4/9 (William Hill) |
| Benoit Saint Denis to beat Paddy Pimblett | 4/6 (William Hill) |
| Cory Sandhagen to beat Mario Bautista | 8/11 (William Hill) |
| Brandon Royval to beat Lone’er Kavanagh | 8/5 (William Hill) |
| King Green to beat Terrance McKinney | 11/10 (William Hill) |
| Total Odds | 21.7/1 (William Hill) |
I’ve gone with Holloway to ruin the McGregor comeback party, and Benoit Saint Denis to hand Paddy Pimblett another loss.
Cory Sandhagen is my pick against Mario Bautista, and I’m also leaning towards the experience of Brandon Royval against Lone’er Kavanagh. Lastly, I’m backing King Green to make it four wins on the trot when he battles Terrance McKinney.
