From Portugal and Switzerland to Poland and Austria, there are tonnes of Europa League qualifiers coming up this Thursday night. To spice things up, I’ve put together a juicy five-fold Europa League acca, which comes to a tasty 8/1 price. Let’s jump in!
Europa League Acca
My 3/1 Champions League acca crashed and burned on Tuesday after NEC Nijmegen and Crvena Zvezda both forgot where the goal was. It wound me up so much I cancelled my holiday plans to the Netherlands and Serbia. That's definitely the reason, anyway.
No sulking, though. I'm straight back on the horse for Thursday's Europa League qualifiers. I've fired up one of the best online bookies, Betfred, and pieced together a tasty five-fold acca that pays around 8/1. Here's why I fancy it…

Bet 1: Benfica to Win to Nil vs Hearts
Sorry Hearts fans, but I think Thursday’s game could get ugly.
The Scottish Premiership side were absolutely battered by Sturm Graz in the Champions League qualifiers, losing 6-0 on aggregate. To make matters worse, the Jam Tarts were also beaten by Aberdeen in the league.
Benfica thumped St Gallen 5-0 in their last home game, and I’m backing Marco Silva’s men to win and keep another clean sheet at 7/10.
Bet 2: Vikingur Reykjavik Over 0.5 Goals vs FC Thun
FC Thun have not had much fun lately. The Swiss champions were dumped out of the Champions League qualifiers by Dinamo Zagreb and were also thumped 6-0 at home against Young Boys.
Vikingur Reykjavik remain huge underdogs in this tie, but I reckon they can get at least one goal away in Switzerland. After all, Thun have conceded 15 goals across their last three home competitive games… it’s true, look it up!
Bet 3: PAOK vs Anderlecht – Both Teams to Score
This should be a good Europa League game. Both teams are playing well, and both are scoring goals.
PAOK put five past Dynamo Kyiv in the previous round, while Anderlecht scored four times against Hammarby. With all that in mind, I don’t think both teams to score is a bad shout at 5/6.
Bet 4: Salzburg to Beat Pafos
If you're looking for an away upset, I'd probably keep scrolling. Pafos have won just twice on their travels since March and now they're heading to Salzburg. Good luck with that.
The hosts started their domestic season well and they should have far too much quality. I'll happily take the 8/15 on a straightforward home win.
Bet 5: Lech Poznan Over 1.5 Goals vs Klaksvik
You don't become the first team in Champions League qualifying history to throw away a three-goal lead without taking a bit of stick. Lech Poznan were an absolute shambles last week.
This is the perfect opportunity to make everyone forget about it. Klaksvik deserve huge credit for mixing it with Europe's bigger clubs despite having a squad featuring bankers, electricians and boat repairmen.
Lech should be peppering the goal from minute one. Two goals feels like the bare minimum.
My 8/1 Bet is Live
Unlike other betting websites, we actually put our own money on the selections we recommend. Below is a screenshot of my Betfred betslip to prove it. If you’re playing along, good luck, and make sure to gamble responsibly.
