Champions Arsenal, who have started their title defence with two wins and two clean sheets take on Chelsea on Sunday. The Blues have also started their campaign with two Premier League victories, plus a win over Luton Town in the Carabao Cup. It could be a match that actually lives up to the “Super Sunday” hype, and I have compiled a great bet builder to add even more interest.

Match Result: Arsenal to Win
While both teams have two wins from two so far in the Premier League, the way that these have been achieved differs greatly. Arsenal are yet to concede this season and despite missing William Saliba they once again look very solid at the back. They scored three without reply against Man City in the Community Shield. In the league they dominated Coventry City and ran in three goals, while in the away match at Aston Villa they were more cautious and came away with a classic “1-0 to the Arsenal”. Nobody scored more goals than Chelsea’s seven in the first three matches, however, only one team conceded more than the five goals that went into the Blues’ net.
Given the form of Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro in particular in the opening weeks of the season I can see Chelsea scoring. However, despite some excitable Arsenal fans complaining about the lack of attacking signings, I think that the Gunners will emulate Fulham and Brighton and find a way through Chelsea’s defence. The Kickform prediction for this one gives Arsenal a 69% chance of winning, and I am kicking off this bet builder by backing a home win.
Over 2.5 Goals
While Arsenal have kept things tight this season, I feel that Chelsea have enough about them going forward to breach the Gunners’ backline. However, I cannot see Chelsea keeping a clean sheet at the Emirates. Arsenal consistently found a way to win last season, and I think that they will find a way to outscore Chelsea. All of this means that I am confident of this match having more than three goals.
Reece James: At Least 1 Shot
When fit Reece James is a class act, whether he is deployed in midfield or right-back. He is also not afraid to try a shot from range, either in open play or from a dead ball. In his two starts this season, in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League, James had two shots on each occasion. The Kickform stats show that he averaged 1.01 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League last season in 20 starts and nine substitute appearances. I’m expecting him to have at least one attempt on goal on Sunday.
Over 6.5 Corners
Arsenal’s away game at Aston Villa featured six corners, as did their win over Manchester City in the Community Shield, the lowest totals in matches involving the two sides this season. Arsenal’s win over Coventry saw 10 corners while all three of Chelsea’s matches have seen the corner count hit double figures. I’m being cautious with this one just to bump the odds up. I could have easily backed over 9.5 given the stats, but Sunday’s game might be cagier. Even so, I feel that there will be seven or more corners.
