Wardley vs Dubois Betting Tips

After landing a handful of football accas over the last couple of weeks, I’m turning my trained eye to boxing.

There are four bets that tickle my taste buds ahead of the weekend, including a 28/1 shot with one of the best online bookies, William Hill.

Bet 1: Over 6.5 Rounds

The bookies appear to be stumped ahead of Saturday’s fight, pricing both Wardley and Dubois at around even money.

Finding value is not easy, but I’m kicking off my selections with a bet in the over 6.5 rounds market.

Wardley vs Dubois: Head-to-Head

Age: 31-28
Born: Ipswich – London
Total Fights: 21-25
Wins: 20-22
KOs: 19-21
Losses: 0-3
Height: 6ft 5in – 6ft 5in
Reach: 78in – 78in

Looking at the previous five bouts for both men, this bet has landed four times for Wardley and three times for Dubois.

There will be some serious power in that ring, but recent trends give me confidence. Wardley has boxed 41 rounds across his last five bouts, giving him an average of 8.2 rounds per fight. Dubois has boxed 38 rounds, providing a similar average.

Sorry about all the maths, but I can’t ignore those numbers.

Bet 2: Daniel Dubois Most Jabs Landed & Fabio Wardley Most Body Punches Landed

There’s massive value at 9/4 here if you look at the styles. Dubois is a pure head hunter, using his jab to set up the big right hand. In fact, he peppered Anthony Joshua with 30 jabs across five rounds and landed 54 on Filip Hrgovic.

Compare that to Wardley, who only managed 30 jabs in 11 rounds against Joseph Parker last time out… he clearly isn't interested in a fencing match.

Wardley’s edge is his variety, specifically his work downstairs. He landed 68 body shots alone against Justis Huni. Dubois, meanwhile, has only bothered with 35 body shots across his last three fights combined.

Bet 3: Daniel Dubois to be Knocked Down

Speaking of value, William Hill are offering 4/5 odds on Dubois to hit the canvas at any point during this fight. That’s not a bad offer considering Triple D has been knocked down eight times since 2020.

Dubois was downed four times by Oleksandr Usyk, once by Joe Joyce and three more times by Kevin Lerena.

Wardley, on the other hand, has won 19 of his 21 fights by knockout, and he certainly possesses enough power to drop his rival.

Bet 4: Fight Ends as a Draw & Daniel Dubois to be Knocked Down

It’s time for the big daddy of my selections. The tasty 28/1 outsider. I found this bet on William Hill’s #YourOdds section, and it immediately stood out.

We’ve already made the case for Dubois to hit the canvas, but a knockdown doesn’t automatically spell defeat. Far from it.

There’s been plenty said about Dubois’ supposed fragility, much of it tied to his losses against Oleksandr Usyk — an elite, generational great. That context matters. Against other top-level opponents, Dubois has shown resilience and firepower, as seen in wins over Jarrell Miller, Hrgovic, and Joshua.

Across the ring, Wardley has also proven he can handle tough fights and go deep into contests. Performances against Huni and Parker highlight his durability and competitiveness over the distance.

Put it all together, and you’ve got a contest that feels finely balanced. A Dubois knockdown followed by a stubborn recovery, mixed with Wardley’s durability… it all creates a very real path to something boxing fans rarely predict: a draw.

I was unable to combine my selections into a nice 4-fold multiple, so I simply backed all four bets as singles. You can find my William Hill betslip below…
