Pakistan will go into the second ODI in Lahore full of confidence after a convincing win over Australia in the first match of the series. The Aussies failed to cope with the hosts’ spin bowling attack and will need to put on a better batting performance if they are to stay in the three-match series. The pitch in Lahore is likely to be more conducive to batting and, despite missing several established players, Australia are capable of bouncing back. It looks set to be an intriguing clash, and I’ve placed a great little bet builder to add further interest.

In addition to studying the first match of the series, I have looked closely at the recent results and performances of both sides over the last 12 months. I have used the data to produce three great value bets for a 11/2 bet builder with bet365, one of the best betting sites in the UK.
Pakistan to Win
Pakistan were very impressive in the series opener on Saturday. Their bowling attack will be key, and spinner Arafat Minhas, who took five for 32 in the first ODI, is in fantastic form. Australia’s inexperienced line-up struggled with the batting conditions in Rawalpindi. Lahore is a better surface for batsmen and, with the Aussies still possessing some talented players, I expect a closer contest. But Pakistan have the momentum, and I expect them to get the victory they need to wrap the series up. They have won their last five ODIs at the Gaddafi Stadium, and I am backing them to win this one.
MB Azam 30+ Runs
Babar Azam played a key role in Pakistan’s victory in Rawalpindi with 69 from 94 balls. The Gaddafi Stadium is also a venue which brings the best out of him, with an average of 59.5 runs in six matches. Furthermore, he has a fantastic record against Australia with an average of 68.63 against the Aussies in one-day internationals. Current form and historical stats point to him scoring 30 or more on Tuesday.
N Ellis 2+ Wickets
Nathan Ellis was Australia’s best bowler in the first ODI, bagging two wickets. Ellis’ variation caused Pakistan’s batters a number of problems, and I expect him to build on that performance in Tuesday’s match. Ellis has taken wickets at this venue in the past, and I am backing him to do so again.
