It’s time to find some betting value ahead of the 2026 World Cup, and I believe I’ve found three selections in Group B that will make the bookies shriek in fear. Let’s jump straight in.
World Cup Group B Best Bets
I used some of the best online bookies to get tasty odds on all three of my selections. If you want to back all three as an acca, we recommend going with Unibet, who offer a £35 return on a £10 stake.

Bet 1: Switzerland to Win the Group
Considering there are more teams in this tournament than at an U9s football gala, each group has one team that stands well above the rest. When it comes to Group B, that team is Switzerland.
The Swiss have been to more World Cups than all their group rivals combined, and they also boast the highest FIFA ranking.
Murat Yakin and his men dominated the qualifiers, going unbeaten in their six matches and only conceding two goals in the process.
Truthfully speaking, backing Switzerland to win the group at 4/5 is not just a good bet… It’s one of my favourite bets in this entire World Cup.

Bet 2: Qatar to Finish Bottom
The FIFA World Cup is meant to feature the best against the best, but that clearly isn’t the case with teams like Qatar joining the fun.
Julen Lopetegui (remember him) is the head coach for the Maroons, but we expect him to have as much success as he did with West Ham.
Qatar have only won three matches since the start of 2025, and one of those was against North Korea – not exactly stiff opposition.
On top of that, the former World Cup hosts were battered by the likes of Uzbekistan, Russia and Tunisia over the last 12 months.
Qatar are simply making up the numbers, and I’m backing them to finish stone dead last at 4/9 – a price offered by some of the best football betting sites. In fact, I’ll be shocked if they manage one shot on target.

Bet 3: Bosnia & Herzegovina to Qualify
The shootout for second spot will likely be contested between Bosnia and hosts Canada, with the bookies favouring the Maple Leaf team.
Personally, I don’t think the bookies have looked deeply enough at Canada’s dreadful record in tournament football.
The North American side have never progressed past the group stage at a World Cup, while their CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign last summer ended with an embarrassing defeat to Guatemala in the quarter-final.
Having lived in Leeds in recent years, I’m also not convinced by head coach Jesse Marsch, who contributed to the club’s relegation to the Championship.
Bosnia, on the other hand, sealed their World Cup ticket with a win over Italy, and the team have only lost two internationals since late 2024.
Strikers Haris Tabakovic and Ermedin Demirovic have enjoyed a solid season in the Bundesliga, and I reckon this Bosnia side will show a lot of fight.
Priced at around the 40/85 mark, Bosnia to qualify is my third Group B bet.
