The first leg between Bayern Munich and PSG might just go down as one of the greatest Champions League games of all time. A true classic at the Parc des Princes if ever there was one. On Wednesday, 6 May, we get to run it all back, and I, for one, can’t wait. My bets are on, and I’m backing Bayern to get the job done as part of my 17/2 bet builder.

Bet 1: Bayern Munich to Win

Before I jump in, I just want to clarify that this is Bayern to win in 90 minutes, and not necessarily for them to qualify for the Champions League final. They are two separate markets, although I do think the latter will prevail.

It feels like it's Bayern’s year. They’re packed with stars who are all in red-hot form. Of course, you’ve got the likes of Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Diaz who regularly grab the headlines.

But it’s the unsung heroes in the squad that make them elite. Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, Leon Goretzka, and the evergreen Manuel Neuer in goal. It’s these weekly seven to eight out of ten players that make Die Roten tick, and why I think they’ll beat PSG on Wednesday night.

Odds of 4/6 aren’t massive, and PSG have the firepower to cause Bayern problems; just look at the first leg. But I don’t think Bayern will be as poor defensively as they were last week, and I’ve not got a lot of trust in PSG’s backline to contain that rampant front three for Bayern. First bet is locked in.

Bet 2: Harry Kane to Score

A given, right? Kane’s taken his game to a new level since joining Bayern. He’s scored 59 goals in 53 games in 2025-26 and is looking like a decent option for the Balon d’Or later in the year, especially if he can somehow end 60 years of hurt for England in the summer.

He featured for just 45 minutes in Bayern’s 3-3 draw at home to Heidenheim in the Bundesliga at the weekend, so he should be fresh for this one.

There’s not an awful lot more that needs to be added here. He’s in top form, will take the penalties if they get one, and even though I don’t love odds of 3/4 with bet365 for Kane to score, I feel like I just can’t not put this in.

Bet 3: Dayot Upamecano 1+ Shot

It’s time to get a bit creative. Looking through the total shots and on-target markets for this game has made me weep. There are some dreadful prices on offer, such as Jamal Musiala at 1/20 when he didn’t chalk in the last game, and even Jonathan Tah at 2/5, who’s had just one shot in his last five UCL games. The world’s gone mad.

But one I do like is Tah’s partner in crime, Dayot Upamencano. He scored in the reverse fixture, and he’s registered six shots in his last four Champions League appearances, extending to nine in 11 over the full competition.

He’s a problem at set pieces, and he’s got a great eye for getting a shot away. I really like this price of 9/10 with 10bet as well, in a game that, once again, could be quite open.

Bet 4: Desire Doue 2+ Fouls Committed

There were a few candidates who I looked at in the fouls market. Bayern’s Konrad Laimer is a serial offender, averaging 1.54 fouls per 90 this season. He’s also not a bad shout to pick up a card as well, averaging 0.38 per game.

It’s a bet that I think a lot of people make with Laimer, and there’s a reason he’s as short as 4/7 for 2+ fouls here.

PSG, however, proved to be more fruitful, specifically, Desire Doue. The forward’s been a menace for much of the season, with the second most fouls in the club (50) behind Warren Zaire-Emery (51) and is earning a bit of a reputation as someone not shy of the physical part of the game, despite his relatively small stature.

He certainly doesn’t lack any desire, does Doue and at 2.35 fouls per 90 with odds of 10/11 for 2+ on Wednesday evening, I think that’s a good spot to be in, in terms of value at least.
