Move aside Champions League… It’s time for some proper European football betting! The semi-final stage is upon us in the Europa League and Conference League, and I’ve got a tasty 4-fold accumulator to spice up your Thursday night. Let’s get into it!
Thursday’s Europa League and Conference League Acca
There are four juicy games on the menu, including the first all-English European semi-final since 2009, yet at the time of writing, the bookies are slacking.
bet365, who are one of the best online bookies, had the best range of markets available ahead of Thursday’s action. The odds are also pretty good, with the bookmaker offering almost 4/1 odds for my selections. Here's what I’ve gone for:
| Match | Market | Odds |
|---|---|---|
| Braga vs Freiburg | Braga Most Corners | 4/5 (bet365) |
| Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa | Chris Wood Under 1.5 Shots on Target | 2/5 (bet365) |
| Rayo Vallecano vs Strasbourg | Vallecano Over 0.5 Goals | 1/4 (bet365) |
| Shakhtar Donetsk vs Crystal Palace | Ismaila Sarr Over 0.5 Shots on Target | 8/15 (bet365) |
| Total Odds | 3.83/1 (bet365) |
*Odds correct at 11:30 BST on 28/04/2026. Odds subject to change.
Bet 1: Braga vs Freiburg Betting Predictions – Braga Most Corners
I’ll be honest, this game is a bit of a coin flip. Both teams have been consistently inconsistent in recent weeks, leading me to stay clear of the outrights.
Thankfully, I’ve stumbled upon a gem of a bet. Priced at 4/5, I’m backing Braga to have the most corners – a bet which I’m confident in, given all the stats.
The Portuguese outfit has seen this bet land in five of their last six home matches, and they’re also fifth in their league when it comes to the corner count.
Freiburg, on the other hand, are 15th in the Bundesliga corner charts, averaging just four per game.
Bet 2: Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa Betting Tips– Chris Wood Under 1.5 Shots on Target
Eight wins in a row, a 5-0 demolition of Sunderland, and Premier League survival on the horizon. It’s all going well for Nottingham Forest at the moment, but the real test comes this Thursday as they take on the final boss of the Europa League – Aston Villa's Unai Emery.
This is a tricky game to call, and I truly believe that real value is found in the player markets… especially when it comes to Forest frontman Chris Wood.
The New Zealand international returned from injury earlier this month, yet he has only produced two shots on target across his five appearances.
Wood has enjoyed over 1.5 shots on target in just two of his 15 appearances this season, while four of his last five outings have all returned blanks.
Bet 3: Rayo Vallecano vs Strasbourg Odds and Predictions – Vallecano Over 0.5 Goals
There’s British interest over in Madrid as Gary O’Neil’s Strasbourg side hit the road to face Rayo Vallecano.
The goals market is the one for me in this game. Both teams have scored and conceded a ridiculous number of goals in recent weeks, and I’m ready to capitalise.
Rayo have scored at least one goal in 12 of their last 13 home games, and I’m backing that trend to continue against a Strasbourg side that has shipped six goals in three away outings.

Bet 4: Shakhtar Donetsk vs Crystal Palace Tips – Ismaila Sarr Over 0.5 Shots on Target
I’m diving back into the player markets for the final leg of this acca, and I’ve ultimately gone with Ismaila Sarr to have over 0.5 shots on target.
At first, I did think about Jean-Philippe Mateta, but I was put off by 1/5 odds. Jorgen Strand Larsen also crossed my mind, but his stats for Palace over recent weeks were not convincing.
Ultimately, I settled with Sarr. The 28-year-old has tested goalkeepers on his last four starts for Palace, including both games against Fiorentina in the Europa League quarter-final.
