After dropping points away to Everton in a pulsating 3-3 draw, the title race is out of Manchester City’s hands. They kept the pressure on Arsenal with a 3-0 win over Brentford on Saturday, but the Gunners’ 1-0 success at West Ham, thanks to a deflected winner and a VAR intervention, has left Pep Guardiola’s side five points behind with a game in hand. They take on Crystal Palace on Wednesday, looking to reduce the gap to two points in a must-win game. It is also a match full of betting opportunities, and I have placed a 27/10 bet builder.

I have used data from Kickform to produce four stats-based bets to compile an 27/10 bet builder at SBK, one of the UK’s top online bookmakers.
Man City to Win & Over 2.5 Goals
I successfully backed City to beat Brentford with over 2.5 goals on Saturday, and I see a similar outcome in this one. Palace are a decent side away from home; however, I believe that Pep’s title chasers will simply have too much for them. Man City have rattled in 41 goals in 17 home matches this season. 71% of City’s home matches and 59% of Palace’s away games have produced three or more goals. City's goal difference is two less than Arsenal's, so this will add motivation to not only win, but win well.
Over 8.5 Corners
A couple of my bet builders have failed due to betting on corners in recent weeks. That said, I can’t ignore the stats. 59% of City’s home matches have seen the corner count reach double figures. The Kickform stats show that they have won an average of 6.34 corners per game over the season, with Palace winning an average of 4.26. Against Brentford, City notched 10 corners and conceded two. Palace won five corners against Everton on Sunday but conceded 10. I am playing safe by betting on over 8.5 rather than over 9.5, but I expect a large amount of flag kicks.
Jean-Philippe Mateta Over 0.5 Shots on Target
Jean-Philippe Mateta has hit 11 goals in 24 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League this season. He has had a total of 62 shots with 50% hitting the target, giving him an average of 1.32 shots on target per 90 minutes. Mateta came off the bench on 65 minutes against Everton and managed two attempts with one of them on target. City’s style of play often gives the opposition a chance on goal. So, I back Mateta to work the goalkeeper at least once on Wednesday evening.
Daniel Muñoz Over 0.5 Fouls
Daniel Muñoz is a hardworking, competitive wing-back who contributes at both ends of the pitch. He has averaged 1.40 fouls per 90 minutes this season. He is likely to come up against both Jeremy Doku and Nico O’Reilly down Palace’s right-hand side on Wednesday, and with both of City's players keen to take on full-backs, I expect him to be forced into the odd foul.
