All eyes will be on Budapest on Saturday as holders Paris Saint-Germain take on Arsenal. PSG remain favourites; however, Arsenal’s Premier League title win has seen them shed their bridesmaid tag, and Mikel Arteta’s men can go into the final with a renewed sense of belief. Both sides have undoubted quality, and I have stayed away from markets such as 1X2 or to lift the trophy, as this one is incredibly hard to predict. However, I have dived into the stats, and I’ve placed a great value 21/10 bet builder with bet365. The bookie are offering a 50% winnings boost for eligible bets on the final, an offer I was only too pleased to take advantage of.

PSG have got better as the season has progressed. A punishing summer schedule last year with the FIFA Club World Cup coming hot on the heels of their Champions League triumph afforded Luis Enrique’s side very little turnaround between the seasons. The second half of the season has seen them back to their best with a charge to the Ligue 1 title and a run to Budapest which featured a superb two-leg semi-final win over Bayern Munich. Arsenal showed superb consistency both domestically and in Europe in the first half of the season and, although they have faltered at times, they did enough to seal the title and to reach the Champions League final. PSG have been able to shuffle their pack a lot more than the Gunners and could well be fresher, which may give the Parisians an edge.
I have looked at the performance of the two clubs over the season, in all competitions and, looking at the stats from Kickform and the occasion, I have unearthed three great value bets to make a 21/10 treble with bet365, one of the best betting sites in the UK, with the bookie’s 50% winnings boost making the odds seem even more attractive.
Under 4 Goals
PSG have been superb in attack, averaging 2.75 goals per game in the Champions League. Arsenal have been no slouches in front of goal, averaging 2.07 goals per match. However, it is the Gunners’ defensive performance that has caught the eye, with nine clean sheets in 14 Champions League fixtures. In the Premier League they only shipped a Scrooge-like 27 goals in 38 matches. I think Arsenal’s defensive discipline will prevent this from being a goal-fest whoever ends up lifting the trophy. So, I am kicking off my bet builder by going for under four goals.
Bukayo Saka Over 0.5 Fouls
Bukayo Saka has quite rightly been praised for his attacking qualities and if Arsenal are to come away with their first Champions League win, Saka could well be the man to unlock the door. However, he also works hard defensively, and he has definitely got a foul in him. TheKickform stats show that Saka has averaged 0.89 fouls per 90 minutes in the Champions League this season. In the Premier League, with a much larger sample, Saka has averaged 1.33 fouls per 90 minutes. Given that he will be up against Nuno Mendes, who likes to bomb forward and has been fouled an average of 1.47 times per 90 minutes in this season’s Champions League, I think it is likely that Saka will register at least one foul on Saturday.
Arsenal to Get Most Cards
I decided that betting on cards was the way to go for my third wager. PSG have averaged 0.88 yellow cards per match in the Champions League, with Arsenal on 1.5. Arsenal have also committed over two more fouls per match than the French champions. Domestically PSG averaged 0.97 cards per game while Arsenal clocked up an average of 1.35. The stats point to the Gunners picking up more cards in Budapest.
My 12/5 Bet Builder Is Live
My 12/5 bet builder with bet365 is live. Remember that in the markets I have selected, the bets are for 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Should the match go to extra time, this will be irrelevant, and the bets will have been settled. Best of luck if you’re having a punt and don't forget to activate the 50% super winnings boost.
