With no Premier League games on Sunday because of the FA Cup, we’ve got to get our fix on Saturday instead. There are five games on offer, and I’ve got three bets from those games which I think look the best value. Let’s jump in.

Fulham vs Aston Villa – Villa to Win
This is a tough game for Villa, who need to keep picking up points to maintain their Champions League chase. Last week's win over Sunderland felt like a huge moment in the final stages of their season, and I like backing teams who carry momentum from those games into the next week. Let’s face it, if it wasn’t for Emi Martinez’s late save, things could have been very different.
But that’s the Premier League. Games are decided by fine margins, and Emery will have his team raring to go on Saturday without any European distractions mid-week.
Fulham are flattering to deceive right now. On paper, they could still get into Europe, but their current form has been a tough watch. Just one goal in their last five games is a serious issue, and they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last seven home games.
Odds of 29/20 feels a really good price for the Villa win. I’m always cautious about backing marginal away results, but it’s warranted here. Approach with caution, but a strong start for my Saturday Premier League acca.
West Ham vs Everton – Mateus Fernandes to be Booked
This is another tough game to call. Both teams have picked up 10 points in their last eight, neither are particularly consistent, and even though they have very different goals this late in the season, I’ve found it hard to split them. If you had to twist my arm, I’d back the draw.
I almost dodged the game based on this, but I noticed a good value bet right at the last minute. West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes to be booked at 7/2 is the play.
His foul stats and bookings have increased dramatically since Nuno Espirito Santo was appointed, and he’s picked up four yellow cards in his last eight. It’s do or die for West Ham, and Fernandes is starting to bear his teeth a little in the middle of the park.
What’s also interesting is the man in the middle here. Step up, Mr Stewart Atwell. Only Anthony Taylor (100) has brandished more yellow cards than Atwell (96) this season, but in terms of yellows per game, Atwell sits at the top of the tree, with a staggering 4.57.
The game has all the hallmarks of a tight, scrappy affair, and Fernandes won’t be afraid to roll up his sleeves and get stuck in.
Arsenal vs Newcastle – Arsenal -1.5 Asian Handicap
There’s been a lot of talk this week about Arsenal bottling the league again, but there’s a long way to go yet, and don’t be surprised if there are a few more twists and turns down the road. One game I think won’t be a stumbling block for them is Newcastle at home in the 5:30pm kick-off on Saturday.
The Magpies are plummeting like a stone, and their busy schedule with Champions League and cup runs has well and truly caught up to them. Only Chelsea, Tottenham and Burnley have earned fewer points than Eddie Howe’s side in the last eight games, and there’s even speculation about Howe’s future at the club, given their demise.
Another late goal conceded at home to Bournemouth made it three defeats in a row and five in their last seven. Unfortunately for the Magpies, the Emirates hasn’t been kind to them over the years either, and they haven’t beaten Arsenal in the league there since 2010, with just a single draw in that time.
Arsenal need to bounce back, and they probably couldn’t hand-pick a better team for that right now than the Magpies. I’m taking them on the Asian handicap at -1.5 (meaning they need to win by two or more) as my final pick for the Saturday Premier League acca.
My 19.21/1 Saturday Premier League Acca is Live with bet365
bet365, who are rated as one of my best online bookies, have come out as the best price for my Saturday treble. You might find you get a few issues with bookies offering the Asian handicap market on the Arsenal game, but bet365 are one of the best for this, so it’s not all that surprising to see them best price today.
