Two wins in succession have seen Tottenham Hotspur move out of the relegation zone with three matches remaining. They host a Leeds United side who, although not mathematically safe before this round of games, have just about hauled themselves clear of trouble. Spurs are still desperate for points, while Leeds will be keen to end the season strongly. It makes for an interesting clash to round off matchweek 36 and I’ve got my wager on, a great little 14/5 bet builder.

I decided to avoid the 1X2 market. Spurs have a terrible home record, but they seem to have a new lease of life under Roberto De Zerbi and managed a creditable draw against in-form Brighton in their last match. Leeds have proved difficult to beat since finding their feet around November. However, although not mathematically safe, it would take an incredible turn of events to see the Yorkshire side go down on 43 points, so you could argue that they have less incentive than the home side.
Instead, using data from Kickform, I have looked at both sides' tendency to regularly score and concede, as well as Tottenham’s habit of picking up cards. The result is a 14/5 three-leg bet builder.
Over 2.5 Goals
The stats point to three or more goals on Monday night. The data from Kickform shows that over 2.5 goals has landed in 66% of Tottenham’s matches and 57% of Leeds’ games this season. When you look at Spurs home games, this goes up to 71%. Both teams have decent scoring records in comparison to the other teams in the bottom half of the table. But they’ve had their problems defensively. Apart from the three sides currently in the relegation zone, Spurs (54), and Leeds (52) have conceded more goals than anyone else in the Premier League. Therefore, I am confident that there will be a few goals.
BTTS: Yes
I also expect the goals to be at both ends. Tottenham have only kept eight clean sheets in 35 league matches, while Leeds have only achieved seven shutouts. Both teams have scored in 60% of both sides’ games. And when you look at Spurs at home and Leeds away, then the numbers increase to 71% and 65%, respectively. I’m going with the stats on this one, and I’ve added BTTS to Over 2.5 goals.
Most Cards: Spurs
While Tottenham are in grave danger of relegation heading into the last three matches, they sit at the top of one table. They have accumulated more cards (94) than any other Premier League team. This works out at 2.69 per game. Leeds have picked up the fifth fewest cards in the league, with a total of 58, an average of 1.66 per game. I’ve had some success in recent weeks when it comes to betting on cards, so I am happy to go down this route again. Given the stats and the importance of the match to the home side, I feel that Tottenham are extremely likely to see the most cards shown.
