To dare is to do. And if by “dare” they mean flirt with relegation and if by “to do” they mean constantly fail to win football games, then Tottenham have been right on brand this season. However, they head into Sunday’s final Premier League game against Everton with their fate in their own hands, but it’s going to be the squeakiest of bum times for those North London faithful. As ever, I’ve got a bet builder for just the occasion, so let’s jump in.

Bet 1: Tottenham to Win
I thought Spurs would get something mid-week against Chelsea, and this game would almost be a dead rubber, but they were really poor in the first half, with so many of the issues under previous regimes coming back to haunt them.
Regardless of how they get on against Everton, I think they’ll stay up because West Ham looks like a broken team to me. A point would be enough for Spurs here, given their far superior goal difference, but I’m going to go one better and say they will grab all three.
James Maddison's introduction after 68 minutes completely changed the game for Roberto De Zerbi’s side. I’d be shocked if he didn’t start on Sunday, which could be the missing piece in a complicated jigsaw.
For Everton, it’s a season of what could have been. They’ve failed to win any of their last six and have missed out on Europe. For Spurs, it’s all to play for and the value play at 17/20.
Bet 2: Over 2.5 Goals
If you're Roberto De Zerbi, you have to enter this game with the assumption you need to win. We all know what can happen when teams sit back to protect games, which would be a dangerous tactic against a team like Everton with little to play for.
The numbers suggest we should see goals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with 67% of Spurs’ home games featuring over 2.5 goals, and each of Everton’s last seven games also hitting that magic number.
What will concern Spurs and offer some hope to West Ham fans is that they have failed to keep a clean sheet in 16 of their 18 home games this season. A leaky defence and two teams capable of finding the back of the net is the perfect over 2.5 goals cocktail.
Bet 3: Over 4.5 Cards
If the proverbial hits the fan, this game could get scrappy. Who knows, Everton might actually turn up for the first time since the middle of March and cause much disdain among those in North London.
No team this season has more cards than Spurs, with a whopping 94 yellows and four reds in just 37 games. Ironically, their talisman and chief yellow card accumulator, Cristian Romero, has decided to shirk being in the UK to watch his teammates fight for Premier League status, which, as you can imagine, has gone down like a lead balloon with the locals.
We’re getting just shy of even money here for over 4.5 cards, and it’s a line I’m willing to take a bit of punt on here as my final Tottenham vs Everton bet builder pick.
