Bet 1: Preston vs Coventry – Over 2.5 Goals

We’re starting to run out of superlatives for Frank Lampard’s Coventry side. They’re currently perched at the top of the Championship, some seven points clear of Middlesbrough, top of the form table (last eight games), most points won at home and away, most goals scored (50 in 19 games), and the joint best defence at home. It’s a recipe for promotion, and at the moment, they look unstoppable.

Deepdale won’t be an easy away game. Paul Heckingbottom’s side have picked up 15 points from their last eight games and are firmly in the play-off spots. You’d be forgiven for jumping all over Coventry to win at even money, but we’re taking a slightly more conservative route here and opting for over 2.5 goals.

Kickform’s Preston vs Coventry predictions have the probability at 74%, which makes sense given that 80% of Coventry’s away games have covered the line, plus 50% of Preston’s home games. These are two very strong offensive teams, so 10/11 on the over is our first pick for our Tuesday EFL acca tips.

Bet 2: Watford vs Sheffield Wednesday – Watford to Win

It says a lot about Sheffield Wednesday’s current plight that backing Watford to win at 11/20 looks good value. The Owls are rooted to the bottom of the league after a turbulent few months on and off the pitch. Points deductions for entering administration, player and staff wages not being paid, and an ongoing attempt to find a suitable buyer see them 28 points from safety.

Relegation to League One is all but confirmed. It’s a sad situation for a club who were once well established amongst the elite of English football.

Watford, on the other hand, are pushing for a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2022. Their form at Vicarage Road has been impressive, picking up 21 points in 10 games, losing just once and only bettered by Coventry (23) in the league.

If you want a little more meat on the bone, Kickform's Watford vs Sheffield Wednesday predictions suggest that the Hornets to win to nil at 13/8 also looks tempting, but as part of Tuesday’s EFL acca, 11/20 for Watford to win is the play.

Bet 3: Bromley vs Crawley Town – Bromley to Win

Andy Woodman is doing a fine job at Bromley. The former Newcastle United and Arsenal goalkeeping coach is taking to management like a duck to water, winning the 2022 FA Trophy and the 2024 National League play-off final, gaining promotion to the EFL for the first time in the club's history.

Sights are now firmly set on moving up the footballing pyramid, and they’ve laid great foundations this season to do exactly that as they hover around the play-off spots, moving into a hectic Christmas schedule.

It’s been their home form that’s done a lot of the heavy lifting, with 19 points from nine games, bettered only by Cambridge United (20). They’ve won each of their last three at Hayes Lane, and while they’ll be disappointed with their performance at Walsall at the weekend, they’re priced at 4/5 to beat Crawley Town, which looks good value.

No team has won fewer points away from home than Crawley (5) this season. They’re in a relegation scrap, and at the minute, Scott Lindsey can’t seem to find any consistency, which is proving costly. Kickform’s Bromley vs Crawley Town predictions score a home win at 54%, which is all the backing we need to make this our third and final pick for Tuesday’s EFL acca.
