Netflix is back with another blockbuster combat sports event, this time headlined by Ronda Ruosey and Gina Carano. The card is absolutely stacked, with fighters like Francis Ngannou, Nate Diaz and Mike Perry all involved. If that wasn’t enough to get you excited, I’ve got three tasty bets for you to consider.

TL;DR – My Netflix MMA Betting Tips

Forget Squid Game, Stranger Things or Seinfeld. Netflix is preparing for an MMA takeover this weekend.

I’m looking to take advantage of the action with three tasty bets. BoyleSports, who are one of the best UFC betting sites, are offering 4/1 odds for my selections. This means that a £10 bet offers returns of £50.

Bet 1: Ronda Rousey to Beat Gina Carano in the First Round

Let’s deal with some hard truths. Carano is 44 and has been away from the sport for 15 years. Getting past the first round would be a major achievement for the fighter-turned-actress.

Rousey is five years younger and is not as far removed from combat sports. The former Olympian is one of the most accomplished female mixed martial artists of all time, and we expect a quick demolition job on Netflix.

The 39-year-old is priced at around even money to end this bout in the first round, and I’m here to take full advantage of that price.

If there was a market for this fight to end in 10 seconds, I’d give that a go too.

Bet 2: Mike Perry to Beat Nate Diaz

If this fight took place a decade ago, I would have bet the house on Diaz to utilise his size and overwhelm his opponent. However, when it comes to this weekend, I’m leaning the other way.

Diaz is 41 now, and he’s not been very busy since leaving the UFC, competing in a couple of boxing bouts over the last three years.

Perry, on the other hand, is on a roll. Since leaving MMA, the 34-year-old has gone on a 7-1 run in bare knuckle boxing, beating the likes of Michael Page, Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez.

Perry is younger, fitter, and has momentum on his side. I’m backing him to earn a big win on his MMA return.

Bet 3: Francis Ngannou to Win by KO, TKO or DQ in First Round

The last few years have not been easy for Ngannou. The former UFC champion was involved in a serious car accident, he lost his infant son, he had a dreadful time with the PFL, and to top it all off, he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua. That’s a lot to deal with for anyone.

Still, this weekend offers Ngannou the chance to underline his fighting credentials when he takes on a 41-year-old, Philipe Lins, who was recently dropped by the UFC.

Ngannou has a five-inch reach advantage on his opponent, and I’m expecting ‘The Predator’ to come out swinging. One big shot could do the business in the first round.
