The last Grand Slam of the year is upon us with the US Open. The first round of both the ATP and WTA singles gets underway on Saturday and I have picked out some great value bets. The men’s singles is very open with World number one Jannik Sinner missing out with injury and Carlos Alcaraz, the bookies’ favourite, returning to action after a long injury lay off.

Bet 1 – ATP US Open: Taylor Fritz to Win 12/1 William Hill
My tip to win the ATP singles at the US Open is Taylor Fritz. Before I explain why the American is superb value at 12/1 I will give my reasons for avoiding the bookies’ top three.
The ATP singles at Flushing Meadows is wide open this year. World number one Jannik Sinner has withdrawn with a knee injury and Carlos Alcaraz, the favourite at the best tennis betting sites, is making his return after being out injured since April. To return at a Slam and win is a big ask. Second favourite Alexander Zverev has enjoyed his best ever year, winning the French and finishing runner-up to Sinner at Wimbledon. He has though, underwhelmed in the hard-court season to date with disappointing performances at Montreal and Cincinnati. A record-breaking 25th Grand Slam win for Novak Djokovic cannot be ruled out, but I feel recovery will be an issue, and I am not confident enough to back him at 7/1.
By contrast, Fritz is coming into form having won in Washington and made the quarterfinals at Cincinnati. The 28-year-old made the quarterfinals at Wimbledon this year and has a great record at Flushing Meadows. He made the final in 2024, his best performance in a Grand Slam, and this was sandwiched between making the last eight in 2023 and 2025. As an American he will have the support of the crowd and Fritz’s offensive baseline game is suited to the surface. At 12/1 he is great value.
Bet 2 – ATP US Open: Arthur Fils Each-Way 12/1 William Hill
Arthur Fils is a man in form. Ranked 11th in the world, the Frenchman won the Cincinnati Open after making the quarterfinals at Montreal and is a great outside bet. While many would say that clay was his natural surface, he has performed well on hard-court. He has a 64.6% win record on the surface, and his speed and power will be well suited to Flushing Meadows. Fils has a lot of talent, and his serve has greatly improved, but the 22-year-old has limited Grand Slam experience having missed a number of tournaments through injury. I recommend backing him each-way.
Bet 3 – WTA US Open: Elena Rybakina to Win 14/1 10bet

Elena Rybakina won the Australian Open at the start of the year and her form since then has seen her pushing for the number one spot in the WTA rankings. Currently ranked second, she began the hard-court season really well, finishing runner-up in the Canadian Open. She withdrew from the quarterfinals at Cincinnati with an ankle injury, and because of this the bookies have underrated her chances. 14/1 is great value, either to win or each-way, given her performances in 2026. I think she has a strong chance.
