All UEFA National Associations take part in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA eEuro. The teams are divided into ten groups, each team of which faces the other twice, (one-versus-one). The top-ranked team from each group qualifies for the UEFA eEuro Finals.

The second-ranked teams from each group, face off in a Play-off tournament. The top six teams from the Play-off tournament qualify for the Finals. The sixteen qualifying teams are divided into four groups, of four teams each. Each team faces the other once, in a two-versus-two battle.

The top two teams from each group, qualify for the tournament’s Quarter-Finals. The knockout stage of the tournament features a combination of one-versus-one, and two-versus-two fixtures, in a best-of-three battle.

The Final though, features a best-of-five battle, with a combination of one-versus-one, and two-versus-two matches.

It must be noted that the UEFA eEuro is a PES 2020-based tournament, which is contested exclusively on the PlayStation 4 (PS4).

UEFA eEuro 2020 eSport Betting Tips, Strategies & Predictions

With the UEFA Euro 2020 being postponed to 2021, the UEFA eEuro 2020, is the most popular UEFA tournament in 2020 (The UEFA Champions League 2019/20 is unlikely to resume anytime soon, given the COVID-19 pandemic situation).

When it comes to punting on a UEFA eEuro 2020-based market, you must perform your due diligence at all times. An esports gambling site may be offering better odds on a UEFA eEuro 2020-based market, and you are better off placing a bet on that betting site, rather than punting on a betting site of your (General) preference.

Do not rely on one betting site – You must have several betting sites to choose from. You must gauge the odds on offer at several betting sites, to determine which of two competing teams, is favoured by a bookmaker. A favoured team is likely to be associated with lower odds.

You must study the gameplay of competing teams, by watching them play a few PES 2020 matches. eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer (PES 2020) has been developed and published by Konami, and differs greatly in its gameplay, when compared to FIFA 20 – You must keep this in mind.  The tournament is being played exclusively on the PlayStation 4 (PS4).

The UEFA eEuro 2020 is being streamed on UEFA’s YouTube channel, and you must live stream a match, while you are punting on it. That being said, you can watch match highlights, and interviews as well.

Each National eSoccer team consists of 2-4 players, chosen via a conducted online or physical tournament (Pre-existing Nation eSoccer teams prevail without a conducted tournament). You must study these gamers, and determine their past match results, and competitive tournament history at large.

Netherlands (Esports PES), for example, play an extremely attacking brand of eSoccer, as can be deciphered from their +46 Goal Difference, in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA eEuro 2020!

France (Esports PES), Greece (Esports PES), and Netherlands, emerged with a 100% win record, and are favourites, going into the latter stages of the tournament. France too, play an attacking brand of football, having beaten Czech Republic 11-0, in a preliminary round match. Israel started the tournament with a 4-4 draw against Austria, and went on to win their next 7 matches.

Israel may prove to be a tough team to beat, given their recent run of form.

Croatia will be a popular team to bet on, come the Play-off stage of the tournament. Having won 8 of their 10 preliminary round matches, France was the only team to beat Croatia. That being said, you must practice a safe brand of eSoccer betting at all times – Do not waste away your hard earned money.

Outright Winner

An “Outright Winner” bet requires you to predict the winner of the UEFA eEuro 2020.

Match Winner

A “Match Winner” bet (Also called Full Time on some betting sites) requires you to predict the winner of an UEFA eEuro 2020 match.

Next Goal

A “Next Goal” bet requires you to predict a team which will score the next goal, in due course of an UEFA eEuro 2020 match.

Total Goals

A “Total Goals” bet requires you to predict the total number of goals that will be scored by both teams (Combined tally) contesting an UEFA eEuro 2020 match, Over/Under a number specified by a betting site.

For example, for a match to be contested between France (Esports PES), and Finland (Esports PES), let’s say the odds in favour of Over 2.5 goals being scored is 2/5, while the odds in favour of Under 2.5 goals being scored is 17/10.

The match ends 2-1, in favour of France. To win a placed Total Goals bet, you must punt on Over 2.5 Goals being scored.

Handicap

A “Handicap” bet involves handing a weaker team on paper, a goal-based advantage, while handing a stronger team on paper, a goal-based disadvantage.

For example, for a match to be contested between Netherlands (Esports PES), and Austria (Esports PES), let’s say Netherlands has been handed a Handicap of -2.5, while Austria has been handed a Handicap of +2.5.

To win a placed Handicap bet on Netherlands, Netherlands must win by 3 or more goals. Similarly, to win a placed Handicap bet on Austria, Austria must either win, or lose by a margin not exceeding the 2 goal mark.

The UEFA eEuro 2020 has reached the Play-off stage. 10 teams have already qualified for the UEFA eEuro 2020 Finals, while 10 teams will compete in the Play-off stage, to determine the 6 remaining slots.

Big sports fan specialising in football. Experienced the lows of Vlad Chiriches and Tim Sherwood as a Spurs fan along with the more recent ‘success’ under Pochettino. My following of the New England Patriots since 2012 somewhat makes up for the lack of silverware produced by Spurs in my lifetime.
