My best horse racing tips this Saturday come from Aintree, where it’s Grand National Day, and over in the States at Keeneland. I’ve included my NAP of the day and two more strong value horse racing tips.

My NAP of the Day
Salvator Mundi – 12:45 Aintree – 4pts Win
Salvator Mundi was given an easy task at Thurles in February, but boy was he impressive. I reckon he’ll be at his best at Aintree, putting him top of my Saturday horse racing predictions.
Why I’m backing Salvator Mundi
-
Won at this meeting over hurdles last year in Grade 1 company
-
Could not have won any easier last time, skipped Cheltenham for this
-
Willie Mullins prepares these horses perfectly for the big day
He’s favourite, but he’s the most solid market leader on the card for my money.
My Next Strong Pick
Look Me – 5:00 Aintree – 3pts Win
After joining Willie Mullins, Look Me ran to a level similar to what today’s favourite Bass Hunter managed at Cheltenham. He’s younger, will improve plenty, and has had more time to recover and improve.
Why I’m backing it
-
Very easy win on first bumper start for Willie Mullins
-
Heavy ground didn’t see him at his best at Fairyhouse
-
Top rider Paul Townend jumps on board this time
This guy shouldn’t be second favourite behind Bass Hunter. Back him at 7/2 with William Hill, who offer free bets on sign up.
My Final Saturday Racing Tip
Ezum – 10:48pm Keeneland – 3pts Win
This is the Lexington Stakes, the final recognised Kentucky Derby prep. I’ve been waiting to see if Ezum would make a late play for the Derby, and it seems Brad Cox is letting him loose on Saturday.
Why I’m backing it
-
Stunning win last time in his maiden
-
Son of Essential Quality – Breeders’ Cup, Belmont Stakes and Travers winner
-
Trainer Brad Cox already has the top two points earners on the Derby board
I noted that Ezum is 2/1 on the morning line in the States, so bet365’s 5/2 looks decent. To find it before Saturday, go to their ante-post section, then get the Lexington Stakes under ‘International NRNB’.
I haven’t lost sight of the fact that it’s the Grand National this Saturday. For a proper rundown of my three each-way bets in that race, head to our Grand National tips page.
My Saturday Results (2026 So Far)
-
Total bets: 55
-
Profit: +4.42pts
-
ROI: +8.03%
My goal is simple: long-term profit, not hype winners. There’s more info for you below.
How I’m Using These Selections
If you’re following along, this is how I’m going to play my horse racing tips this Saturday:
-
Salvator Mundi (NAP): 4pts win
-
Look Me: 3pts win
-
Ezum: 3pts win
Staking Plan Explained
| Level | Confidence | Units | Explanation |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Point | Small Bet | 0.5 | Lowest confidence, thin edge on competition, higher variance, could be good value at a price |
| 2 Points | Standard Bet | 1.0 | Decent value/price, standard bet, not one of the most confident selections |
| 3 Points | Strong Bet | 1.5 | Clear edge on opposition, most used bet |
| 4 Points | Top Bet | 2.0 | Definite advantage over opposition, big run fully expected |
| 5 Points | Maximum Bet | 2.5 | Highest confidence bet, very rare |
It’s up to you to decide how much money constitutes a unit. For example, if you were to go at £10 per unit, then a 4pt bet (two units), would mean a £20 stake.
Horse Racing Tips FAQs
I like Salvator Mundi best, in the 12:45 at Aintree (Maghull Novices’ Chase).
My NAP of the day is my strongest bet, the one I’m most confident about. The word comes from the card game Napolean, where the “Nap” is the strongest bet you can make.
Sacrificing strike-rate for better long-term value is how you come out on top, rather than backing favourites blindly.
No. I focus on quality, with Saturday horse racing tips appearing here, and selections for other major races appearing on our homepage.
