With the series tied up at 1-1 England and India go into the third Test at Lord's looking to take a crucial lead. With the series on a knife-edge England’s bowling attack will be strengthened with the return of Jofra Archer.
However, having scrutinised the performance of both sides in the first two Tests, it is mainly the batting we have focussed on with our third Test betting tips. We are backing Harry Brook and Shubman Gill to play a big part for their respective sides and have come up with a nice little treble which could see you bag a £180 profit for a £10 stake at bet365.

England vs India Third Test Betting Tips
We are backing England to take a series lead, inspired by their middle order batsmen and potentially boosted by the return of at least one key bowler. We also think that Shubman Gill will excel for India. Check out our third Test picks.

Now let’s have a look at our selections and why we think that they will come off.
Bet 1: England to Win Match (10/11)
After winning the first Test at Headingley, England faltered badly in the Second Test at Edgbaston. They were made to pay for electing to bat second and a combination of their bowlers having no answer to Shubman Gill and a disappointing performance from their top order batsmen.
However, the return of Archer will bolster the bowling attack and if the likes of Harry Brook and Jamie Smith can continue their impressive middle order form then the hosts could get back on track.
Captain Ben Stokes is due a big performance. We think that he will produce the goods and that England will come away with a 2-1 lead.
Bet 2: Harry Brook 70+ Runs (8/13)
Harry Brook has batted consistently well in the series and his 158 in the second Test saw him replace teammate Joe Root at the top of the ICC Test Batting Rankings.
Brook’s performance in Birmingham was somewhat overshadowed by Shubman Gill’s heroics for India, however, we feel that a key component to England’s potential success is strength in the middle order and Brook, along with Jamie Smith, is vital to this. We expect him to come away with 70 or more runs.
Bet 3: Shubman Gill Top Match Batter (9/2)
India captain Shubman Gill has 585 runs across the first two Tests of this series. Gill led his side by example at Edgbaston with a near flawless display of batting as he hit the second-most runs in a Test match in history.
England’s bowlers have struggled to come up with an answer to Gill across both Tests and although the host’s bowling attack will be bolstered by Archer at Lord's, we see the tourists' skipper being a major headache for Ben Stokes’ side. Although we are backing England to bounce back and have highlighted the good form of Harry Brook and Jamie Smith, we still think Gill will set the standard and will come away with another big total of runs.
