Liverpool’s Premier League title odds have shortened this weekend after Arne Slot’s side made it three wins from three with a win over Arsenal. They were as long as 11/5 before the weekend, however, after seeing off one of their main title rivals and making steps to finally bring Alexander Isak to Anfield they are now down to 6/5 at bet365.
Liverpool See Off Title Rivals Arsenal
Dominik Szoboszlai hit a superb free-kick to give Liverpool the three points against Arsenal in what had been a turgid encounter. It was another example of Liverpool finding a way to win despite not quite being at their fluent best.
The new signings need to be bedded in, and there have been times when they struggled in their first three league matches. But despite this they are on maximum points. Picking up points when not playing particularly well is a key trait of successful teams. And Liverpool now has a great platform to kick on and claim a second successive Premier League title.
Incoming Isak Strengthens Reds Further
The BBC has reported that Liverpool have finally agreed a deal with Newcastle United to bring in Isak. The fee is a British record of £125 million, with the possibility of the total eventually rising to £130 million with add-ons.
Liverpool have already splashed the cash on Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi and Giovanni Leoni. And despite laying out over £400 million Liverpool could still bring in central defender Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace before the transfer window slams shut.
While the new players will take time to settle, Slot has given last season’s title-winning squad a thorough overhaul and, on paper, he looks to have made his side even stronger. It is clear that Slot is targeting a title defence and a serious tilt at the Champions League.
Liverpool's Title Odds Shorten to 6/5
The top online bookmakers have reacted to the events of the weekend on the pitch and in the transfer market. Going into the third round of matches Liverpool were 11/5 to win the title. At the time of writing bet365 have Slot’s side priced at 6/5. Check out the current Premier League title odds as we head into the first international break.

There are several ways you can look at the current odds. On the one hand you might think that if you want to back Liverpool you need to do it quickly before the odds shorten even more. The new signings have yet to be fully bedded in, yet they are on maximum points. However, you may also feel that they are vulnerable defensively and that the other contenders have not found their stride yet. If this is the case, you may want to see how things play out.
Manchester City’s odds of 7/1 are interesting. Pep Guardiola’s side clearly have their problems having lost two of their opening three matches. That said, given their record over the last five or six years and the quality they have you may feel that 7/1 is too good to ignore. City is likely to put a run together at some point this season so the value may lie in an each-way bet.
