Premier League Bet Builder Tips: Newcastle United vs Arsenal
Since Newcastle’s reemergence as a force following the 2021 takeover and the arrival of Eddie Howe, there have been some tempestuous and titanic struggles between the two sides. Newcastle came out on top over two legs in last season’s Carabao Cup semi-final, and two seasons ago claimed a highly contentious 1-0 win where the Gunners were adamant the ball had gone out of play in the build-up to Anthony Gordon’s winner. Arsenal won the last meeting between the two sides at the Emirates at the end of last season.
We have delved into the best football betting sites in the UK and have come up with a fantastic four-leg bet builder. We found the best value to be at bet365.

Now let’s have a closer look at our selections and the reasoning behind them.
Bet One: Under 2.5 Goals (8/11)
Newcastle United is clearly a work in progress in the final third following Alexander Isak’s departure. Howe insists that goals will come from his side, but the facts are that in five Premier League matches they have only found the net three times. Hitting four at home to Bradford in the Carabao Cup will have boosted their confidence but a side of Arsenal’s class is another matter.
At the other end, however, they have been incredibly solid with four clean sheets from five. Two of their three goals conceded came when they were down to ten men. 80% of their games have seen less than 2.5 goals.
Arsenal may have rattled in five against Leeds and three against Nottingham Forest, however, in their other three matches they have found scoring goals more difficult. 60% of their matches have finished with less than 2.5 goals.
The last three Premier League seasons have seen two 1-0 wins for the home side and a 2-0 success for the Gunners. We see this match being tight and competitive and one goal could well decide it.
Bet Two: Player Cards In Match Over 4.5 (5/6)
This match often gets feisty and there are plenty of competitive players on both sides who will not back down. From their five games in the league so far this season Newcastle have received seven cards and Arsenal eight. We feel that given the occasion and the history between the teams that a total of five or more cards is likely.
Bet Three: Viktor Gyökeres over 0.5 Shots on Target (8/15)
Victor Gyökeres is starting to find his way in the Premier League. Newcastle’s defending has been scrooge like this season, however, Gyökeres is a quality striker who is
settling into a quality team. We think that he will manage to get an effort on target despite the attentions of Dan Burn and Co. Whether he can beat Nick Pope is a different matter.
Bet Four: Over 10.0 Corners (11/10)
Our stats hub shows that Arsenal have averaged a league high of 6.6 corners per game, with Newcastle on 5.8 per game. 60% of Arsenal’s games have seen over 10.5 corners. We are confident that this one will produce over 10 flag kicks. Both sides work the ball into wide positions well and this often leads to corners being conceded. This is a great value wager to round off our bet builder.
