With less than 24 hours remaining before the winner of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize is announced, US President Donald Trump has moved to joint 11/4 favourite in the betting with Coral. For the past month or so, Trump has been bouncing around the top three as Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms looked a strong favourite. However, Trump is now level pegging according to many of the bookies.

Donald Trump: Can he Win the Nobel Peace Prize?
Trump has been outspoken with his view that he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. As reported by CBS News he has claimed to have ended six or seven wars and has described himself as the “president of peace”.
Trump was nominated by the government of Pakistan in June and by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in July. However, as we reported yesterday, these nominations came after the January deadline. So, timing could count against Trump and backing him for the 2026 prize may be a better bet.
It also has to be taken into account that the Norwegian Nobel Committee must consider Trump to be a worthy candidate. And, as stated in The Scotsman, a number of the US President’s views and policies go against some of the Nobel Committee’s core values. However, as his victories in two US Election campaigns have demonstrated, Trump cannot be written off completely. We feel that there are other more likely candidates, however, he cannot be discounted.
