Now let’s look at the four matches in detail to see the reasoning behind our bets.
Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea: Over 7 Corners & BTTS (20/21)
Nottingham Forest host Chelsea in a match which could be pivotal to the future of Ange Postecoglou, who has yet to oversee a win after seven matches in charge. Chelsea are favourites to come away with the points; however, we feel that the value lies in the corner and goal markets.
Looking at our Premier League stats hub, all of Chelsea’s league matches and 86% of Forest’s have seen over 7.5 corners. So, we have gone for that alongside BTTS. Both teams have scored in five from seven of Chelsea’s Premier League matches. The Blues have failed to keep a clean sheet since August. Both teams have scored in 43% of Nottingham Forest’s matches.
We think that there will be goals at both ends and a high corner count, making this wager a good one to start our acca with.
Burnley vs Leeds United: Under 2.5 Goals (4/6)
Leeds United travel to Burnley in this clash of the Championship’s top two from last season. Leeds have made a better start to life in the Premier League than the hosts, however, we are expecting a tight, closely contested match.
Both teams have only averaged one goal per game across the first seven matches of the season. Burnley were incredibly solid defensively last season, and we think that they will make a big effort to keep it tight at the weekend. We are expecting a low scoring encounter, and we feel that bet365’s price of 4/6 is generous enough to include in our acca.
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth: Over 4.5 Cards (5/6)
The FA Cup holders Crystal Palace host fourth-placed Bournemouth as two sides looking to challenge the established order meet at Selhurst Park.
We are expecting a competitive affair and there is value to be found in the over/under markets for cards. Palace have averaged 2.43 cards per game while the Cherries have an average of 2.29 cards. We think that there will be at least five cards in this one.
Fulham vs Arsenal: Over 2.5 Goals (10/11)
Title favourites Arsenal travel across London to face Fulham at Craven Cottage. The visitors are favourites to win, but it is the over 2.5 goals market that caught our eye.
43% of both sides’ matches have seen more than 2.5 goals scored. But we think it is more telling that Arsenal have averaged two goals per game and that Fulham’s average is 1.14. Fulham’s last three league matches have all ended 3-1, with one win and two defeats for the Cottagers. Arsenal have scored twice in their last four in all competitions. We think that there will be at least three goals in this one.
