Martin Kemp – 4/1

The housewives' favourite. Martin Kemp at 4/1 leads the early I’m a Celeb winner odds, and rightly so. Kemp’s a national treasure, and he’s got all the hallmarks for a deep run in the jungle. With millions of fans from his days slapping the bass in Spandau Ballet, and more recently being one of the most-loved EastEnders actors for some time, which means he’ll resonate with a lot of the key target voters for the show.

He'll be able to hold his tongue enough to keep away from too much controversy, and he’s strong enough to meet the Busktucker trials head on. If he bonds with campmates early, keeps morale up, maybe even serenades with a rendition of ‘Gold’, he’s going to be there or thereabouts.

Angryginge – 9/2

The producers always seem to have a YouTube or social media creator entering the jungle these days, and this year it’s a big one. Those of a certain era may not be familiar with the work of Morgan Burtwhistle, better known under the pseudonym of Angryginge to his millions of followers, but he’s part of the Sidemen, who are a highly successful group of content creators and, in their own world at least, are kind of a big deal.

Still none the wiser? Well, that’s OK, but don’t sleep on these types of ‘celebs’ on the show. Substantial online followings can explode on vote-led shows. Given the kind of banter he’s known for, it may well backfire for Angryginge in terms of having to do trials, but he’ll be box office to watch. An early price of 9/2 on the novelty betting markets could be sharply cut, and for us, this is the biggest value bet of the early runners.

Alex Scott – 6/1

Former England footballer and current BBC Sport presenter Alex Scott will be a safe bet this year. She likely won’t be too controversial, and campmates will seek a steady, calming influence like Scott to lessen the drama somewhat.

She’s cool, calm and collected, so trials won’t be an issue. Former athletes tend to do well. Jill Scott, the winner in Season 22, is a prime example, so while she might not be the most exciting campmate in terms of drama, she’s a decent outside bet at 6/1.
