Bet 1: Middlesbrough vs Coventry – Over 2.5 Goals
What Kickform is saying – The algorithm is predicting a 72% chance for over 2.5 goals. This is backed up by 89% for over 1.5 and 53% for over 3.5 goals. BTTS stats show a 72% likelihood. 43% of Boro’s home games have covered the line, but it’s the 75% of Coventry’s away games covering that really moves the needle, along with that significant BTTS percentage.
What TPP is saying – A huge top-of-the-table clash for both teams. Coventry have been scoring goals for fun, with 43 from 16 games. Boro have been a little less proficient with 20 in as many games. This fixture has covered over 2.5 goals in three of the last four head-to-heads, and Coventry alone have done so in five of their last six. Odds of 10/11 suggest a coin flip from the bookies, but the numbers are certainly leaning toward the over 2.5 mark. A good value bet to start.

Bet 2: Millwall vs Sheffield Wednesday – Under 2.5 Goals
Kickform – The under 2.5 goals probability of 78% is one of the strongest predictions at Kickform this week. Under 1.5 is at 52% and under 3.5 is at 92%. BTTS, a key metric for total goals stats, is a whopping 80% against (No) and was a consideration. Given that 68% of Millwall’s home games have been under 2.5 goals, we’ve opted for a little more security with total goals, but both bets are highly rated.
TPP – Two teams that are struggling to find the back of the net make the under 2.5 total goals a very sensible play here. Millwall have been grinding out results but have scored just 18 goals in 16 games – the fewest in the top half this season. No team has scored fewer goals than Sheffield Wednesday’s 12, and they are all but certain for the drop. Odds of 5/6 for under 2.5 looks a safe pick for what could be a scrappy, tight game at The Den.

Bet 3: Sheffield United vs Portsmouth – Sheff United to Win
Kickform – Sheffield United are rated at 58% to beat Portsmouth at Bramall Lane (draw 23%, Portsmouth to win 19%). Given they are priced at 5/6, this implies a 54.5% probability, offering a decent slice of value based on Kickform’s predictions.
TPP – Chris Wilder’s team will be buoyed by their 3-0 derby success over Wednesday at the weekend, ending a sorry four-game winless run. The Blades beat Pompey 2-1 at home back in February and were unlucky not to get a win against QPR a couple of weeks back. Portsmouth are yet to win away from home, and we’re backing Kickform’s prediction of United to make it back-to-back wins for just the second time this season.
