Unlike previous years, there is only one Premier League game on offer, but don’t fret, there is a huge EFL program on offer. With lots of action across the Championship, League One and Two, we have picked out a bumper acca to boost your holiday bet slips.

Bet 1: Wrexham vs Sheffield United Both Teams to Score

Wrexham will be looking to end their five-match winless run when they welcome an improving Sheffield United side to the Racecourse Ground.

Despite dizzying levels of financial investment over the years, the Red Dragons are only just beginning to discover how tough the Championship really is.

Wrexham have won just six of their 22 league matches, though four of their last five have seen both teams score.

Speaking of scoring, Sheffield United have done a lot of that in recent weeks. The Blades have won five of their last seven Championship matches, scoring 16 goals across those successes.

With Wrexham managing to score in every home game this season, and Sheffield United enjoying an upswing in recent form, backing both teams to score is the sensible way to go.

Bet 2: Coventry City Over 1.5 Goals vs Swansea City

Frank Lampard’s Coventry City side are still going strong at the top of the Championship despite dropping a smattering of points in recent weeks.

One thing that hasn’t changed is Coventry’s impressive home run, which currently consists of seven straight victories.

The Sky Blues have scored in all but one of their 11 home matches, while also bagging three or more goals in six of those games.

With Swansea losing their last four away outings, we are backing Coventry to bag over 1.5 goals in Friday’s encounter.

Bet 3: Cardiff City Over 1.5 Goals vs Exeter City

League One leaders Cardiff City will be looking to shake off a couple of recent defeats when they welcome Exeter City to the Welsh capital.

The Bluebirds put on a great fight against Chelsea in the EFL Cup before ultimately falling to a 3-1 defeat. Brian Barry-Murphy's men then suffered a bit of a cup hangover as they fell to a 2-1 loss to Lincoln just days later.

Nevertheless, Cardiff remain the best side in League One, winning 13 of 20 matches and scoring a competition-high 37 goals.

Exeter City, meanwhile, have lost their last four away games, pushing us to back the hosts in the over 1.5 goals market.

Bet 4: MK Dons vs Swindon Over 1.5 Goals

There is a heavyweight League Two clash brewing in League Two, as fifth-placed MK Dons host second-placed Swindon Town.

The two clubs have scored 77 goals between them, making them two of the best attacking sides in the division.

This bet has landed in 14 of MK Dons’ previous 15 outings across all competitions, and we are backing a Boxing Day repeat.
