Brentford vs Bournemouth – Brentford to Win & BTTS: Yes
Brentford, 12th in the table, host 14th placed Bournemouth. The Bees’ recent form has been a bit up and down, but they have a great home record, their five wins and two draws from eight games being the fifth-best in the division. Bournemouth made a great start to the season, however, a disappointing run of results has seen them plummet down the table.
While the Cherries are likely to come good again this season, we think that Brentford will win this one. As we said earlier, they have the fifth best home record in the league, while only four teams have a worse away record than Bournemouth. Our stats from Kickform also show that both teams have scored in 59% of both Brentford and Bournemouth’s matches. Furthermore, this has been the case in Brentford’s last four home league games. Bournemouth’s last away match was a chaotic 4-4 draw at Old Trafford, and they also recently lost 3-2 at Sunderland after being 2-0 up. We back Brentford to win but there will be goals at either end.
West Ham United vs Fulham – Over 2.5 Goals and BTTS: Yes
West Ham go into this one in the bottom three, having shipped more goals than any other team in the league except rock bottom Wolves. Our stats show that they have only kept one clean sheet all season. Fulham are also in the bottom half of the league and have similar problems when it comes to keeping blank scoresheets with four shutouts in their first 17 matches.
West Ham have averaged 1.22 goals per game while Fulham have averaged 1.44. 65% of the Hammers’ games and 56% of Fulham’s fixtures have seen over 2.5 goals. Both teams have scored in 59% of West Ham’s matches and in 63% of the Cottagers’ games. More due to the habit both teams have of conceding than their attacking prowess, we feel that there will be at least three goals and that they will come at both ends.
Chelsea vs Aston Villa – Over 9.5 Corners
Chelsea, fourth in the Premier League table, take on third placed Aston Villa, the league’s form team.
In their last match, Chelsea were blown away by Newcastle United in the first half to find themselves 2-0 down at St James’ Park. The Blues however, rallied to mount a comeback in the second period, and a pulsating match finished 2-2.
Villa racked up another win with a 2-1 success over Manchester United. However, they looked far from convincing and claimed the points thanks to two great goals from Morgan Rogers. However, a trait of successful teams is to win when they are not playing at their best. And Villa did just that on Sunday.
The betting value in this one lies in the corner market. There have been over 9.5 corners in 71% of both teams’ league games this season. Chelsea have averaged 5.47 corners per match, the fifth highest total in the league, with Villa averaging 5.06. We think that a wager on over 9.5 corners is a great way to round off this seasonal SBK acca.
