Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest – Aston Villa to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Villa have been on a great run, however, a trip to league leaders Arsenal proved to be a bridge too far for Unai Emery’s side with the Gunners running out 4-1 winners. However, Villa had their chances in that encounter and one disappointing result against a top team should not derail their season.

Nottingham Forest have lost four from the last five in the Premier League. Away from home they have lost five of their nine fixtures, winning only twice. To go to a side who have won seven from nine at home and get something is a big ask. Kickform are predicting a home win, and we are inclined to agree.

We do, however, think that there will be goals. There have been over 2.5 goals in 63% of Villa’s games and 53% of Forest’s. We think that this will be the case here. In our talkSPORT Bet Footie 4 Play predictions we have gone for a 3-1 win for Villa. So, for the first leg of our acca we feel that a home win with at least three match goals is the way to go.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs West Ham United – Double Chance: Wolves or Draw

In a dreadful season for Wolves where possibly the only realistic objective left is to avoid being the worst Premier League team in history, picking a point up at Old Trafford against a depleted Manchester United was a rare moment of hope. And if boss Rob Edwards could have handpicked their next opponents, a home match against third from bottom West Ham United would have been one of his first choices.

The Hammers are enduring a desperate season themselves, and they have lost three of their last five. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are without a win since beating fellow strugglers Burnley in early November. Given Wolves’ poor record they will travel to the midlands targeting a win.

Our question is, if Wolves can’t pick up points at home against a struggling side after a morale boosting away draw then when will they? At TPP we feel that neither side are good enough to be clear favourites and both are poor enough to lose. We have predicted a 1-1 draw in our bet365 6 Scores predictions. We feel that Wolves may just pick up a little momentum, so we are backing this one to end in a draw or in the first home win of the season for Edwards’ side.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Burnley – BTTS: Yes

Brighton have dropped down the league in recent weeks with three draws and three defeats in their last six matches. Their last win came on the 30th of November against Nottingham Forest.

Struggling Burnley travel south without a win since they beat rock bottom Wolves on 26th October. The Clarets stopped the rot to some extent with draws against Bournemouth and Everton ended a run of losses. However, a home defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday made it three defeats in five.

Our Kickform stats show that both teams have scored in 68% of Brighton’s games and in 58% of Burnley’s. Brighton’s last eight games have seen both teams find the net five times. There have been a number of goal-filled encounters, including a 4-3 home defeat to Aston Villa and a 2-2 draw at West Ham. Both teams have scored In Burnley’s last seven games. We think that there will be goals at either end on Saturday.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal: Arsenal to Win

Bournemouth have fallen down the league table after a winless run which stretches over ten matches. Their last victory was on the 26th of October against Nottingham Forest. Leaders Arsenal have recovered from their defeat at Aston Villa and have racked up four straight victories. Mikel Arteta’s side are four points clear at the top and have seven wins in normal time in their last 10 games in all competitions, plus a penalty shoot-out win over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.

Kickform give a 62% chance of an Arsenal win, and we think that they will have too much for the Cherries. We expect a comfortable away win.
