The AO Arena in Manchester hosts the latest Misfits Boxing event with the heavyweight matchup between Tommy Fury and Eddie Hall topping the bill. Classed as an exhibition bout, pro boxer (and reality TV star) Fury will take on former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall. The fight will frustrate many boxing purists as the sport becomes tangled with social media influencers and entertainment. However, when you look at the two competitors, there is a certain level of intrigue, and I am backing Fury’s boxing experience to overcome Hall’s raw strength.

Tommy Fury to Win
Unfortunately, the leading UK bookies are not offering many betting options for this one. It is quite simply a case of predicting the result. When looking at the fight, I had anticipated being able to bet on the number of rounds and the method of victory, but this is not available.
Tommy Fury is a strong favourite. He is unbeaten as a professional boxer and has stated that he still aims to challenge for World titles, despite having been involved in a number of contests against influencer-turned boxers, including KSI and Jake Paul. Fury has come out on top in these contests, and I expect him to have enough to see off Eddie Hall.
Having said that, Fury cannot underestimate his opponent. For one thing, there is no upper weight limit in heavyweight boxing which means that Hall could weigh in around seven stones heavier. Hall, who won the World’s Strongest Man in 2017, lost an exhibition bout billed as “The Heaviest Boxing Match in History” to Hafthor Bjornsson before defeating another former strongman, Mariusz Pudzianowski in an MMA contest.
If Hall catches his rival with a clean hit in the early stages, then Fury could be in trouble. But, even in a contest of six two-minute rounds, stamina will be a factor as the fight progresses, and this could be an issue for a man of Hall’s size. I expect Fury’s boxing skills, movement, and stamina to be too much for Hall, and I expect him to win via a points decision or a stoppage in the later rounds.
With Fury being a strong favourite the odds are not particularly enticing. However, 1/3 at William Hill, one of the top boxing bookies, is reasonable.
