Luke Littler Top 3
Luke Littler makes the final six shortlist for the second year running. The 18-year-old won the World Darts Championship and took the World Number One spot from Luke Humphries in a truly incredible year for the Mancunian.
He’s priced at 20/1 to – shockingly – become the first darts player ever to win SPOTY, but we can’t see that coming in. However, we do like Littler to make the top three priced at 11/8. His second-place last year was before his World Championship win, so to have that to his name, plus six major PDC titles throughout 2025, suggests he’s got a great chance.

Hannah Hampton (Football)
Hannah Hampton is England Women’s goalkeeper and has had a stellar season. Domestically, she helped Chelsea win the domestic treble and earned the WSL’s Golden Glove to wrap up an incredible few months for Hampton.
Chloe Kelly (Football)

Her penalty in Euro 2025 proved decisive, and she bagged a last-gasp winner in the semi-final as well. She ended up in the team of the tournament and finished fifth in the Women’s Ballon d’Or.
Ellie Kildunne (Rugby)
Ellie Kildunne was one of the many shining lights of England’s Rugby World Cup victory at home, scoring five tries from full-back. She was also integral to England winning the Six Nations Grand Slam earlier in the year, in what’s been a breakout season for the 26-year-old.
Luke Littler (Darts)
Luke Littler has had a historic 2025, becoming the youngest ever winner of the PDC World Darts Championship at just 17. He’s since gone on to win six more PDC titles – including the PDC Triple Crown – in 2025, which has catapulted the teenage sensation to world number one. His success has been seismic for the popularity of darts, and if he were to win, he would be the first darts Sports Personality of the Year.
Lando Norris (Formula 1)
Following his World Driver’s Championship win last weekend in Abu Dhabi, Lando Norris makes the SPOTY leaderboard for the first time.
