Gian van Veen vs Gerwyn Price Betting Tips – Price -1.5 Legs
After such a promising start to his debut Darts Premier League season, Gian van Veen is in what the experts describe as a slump. The Giant has just three wins from his last 15 games since the start of March. I hate to say it, but those blockers – the dreaded yips – that plagued the boy a few years ago feel like they are creeping in, and he needs some Help!
He still has an outside chance to make the playoffs, but he needs to get moving as he’s now four points adrift of Michael van Gerwen in the play-off spots.
Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening on Thursday night against the red-hot Gerwyn Price. Fresh off a win at European Tour 5, he comes into the game as a big favourite, priced around 13/20. There’s a bit of value there, especially when you consider that he’s only lost to Gian twice in 13 appearances, beating him three times in this season's Premier League alone.
So, I’m going to take the Iceman on the -1.5 handicap priced at 21/20 with Betfred, who are one of the best online bookies. If you want to just let it be, I don’t hate pushing this line even further, which gives you some idea of how one-sided this matchup is.
Stephen Bunting vs Jonny Clayton Odds and Predictions – Clayton to Win
Am I missing something here with Jonny Clayton? The Ferret bagged his fourth nightly win last week in Rotterdam, sits five points clear at the top of the table, is criminally priced at 10/1 to win again in Liverpool, is 13/2 to win the whole thing and is a coin flip 4/5 to beat, checks notes, second bottom Stephen Bunting.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to lap these prices up. Heck, he’s landed me two tidy nightly winner bets already this season, but why are the bookies still sleeping on him? What else does he need to do?
Anyway, I’m taking Clayton straight up to beat Bunting in Liverpool. Yes, the Bullet will have hometown support, and could get by with a little help from his friends, but he’s so far up his own backside he won’t be able to hear them anyway. Clayton to win, and if this were horse racing, he’d be by NAP.
Josh Rock vs Michael van Gerwen Betting Predictions – Rock Most 180s
A really tough game to call this one. I’m a big fan of both, and it’s been great to see a bit of fight from Josh Rock over the last few weeks. He’s far too good to be sat at the bottom of the league, but the occasion and relentlessness of the Darts Premier League has possibly been a bit much in his debut season.
MVG has got the nod over him in their first two meetings this term, but my guitar gently weeps at the thought of backing him at 17/20. He’s lost too many games this season where a prime Green Machine would cruise through, becoming a helter-skelter from a betting point of view.
A market that I do like, however, is the 180s and more specifically Rock to out-maximum van Gerwen. He’s already done that in nine of his 16 games, which is impressive given he’s at the bottom of the league. Conversely, MVG has only scored more 180s than his opponent in five out of 18.
Even money for Rock to have the most 180s looks like a solid pick, so don’t let me down, Josh.

Luke Humphries vs Luke Littler Betting Odds – Over 9.5 Legs
It’s been a hard day's night finding value in Luke Littler as the weeks roll on. He’s 4/7 to beat the world number two, and while Luke Humphries isn’t in great form right now, he’s no mug and could quite easily beat Littler, who’s twisting and shouting quite a bit of late.
The obvious bet is The Nuke to win. He’s beaten Humphries in 10 of their last 14 matches and two out of three in this season's Premier League alone. But as I say, he’s not at his best.
One market that caught my eye was total legs, and more specifically, over 9.5. A single-leg decider has been the outcome each of the last four times the pair have come together. That could quite easily be the case on Thursday as well, but having the line at 9.5 means we’ve a two-game cushion, allowing 6-4 and 6-5 variations to land.
We’re getting 11/10 with BetVictor here, which is a huge price given their record. Out of all the markets, this looks like the best value ticket to ride, for a game I would probably otherwise swerve.
