Night 16 of the Darts Premier League roadshow rolls into Sheffield on Thursday, 21 May, in what is the final night before the big one at the O2. The top four might be locked in, but there’s pride and, of course, £10,000 in cash at stake for players. I’ve got four picks from the quarter-finals and a bonus outright winner pick to boot. Let’s jump in.

Bet 1: Luke Littler vs Josh Rock Predictions – Over 6.5 180s

The pressure is well and truly off for both players here, and given they are two of the biggest 180 hitters in the competition, I’m going for over 6.5 180s for my opener in Sheffield.

It’s not been the debut season that Josh Rock had envisioned. He’s likely going to finish bottom of the league with just four wins to his name. Maybe the stage was just too big or the relentlessness of playing the world's best week in week out a step too far, but Rocky will be back, of that I’ve little doubt.

For Littler, it’s been business as usual after a slow start. He’s seven points ahead of Jonny Clayton in second, and it’s hard to look anywhere else than another Premier League title heading back to Warrington.

Even money for over 6.5 180s is right on the edge for me, but the pair tend to feed off each other when it comes to scoring, so I’m happy to lump it in to kick things off.

Bet 2: Jonny Clayton to Beat Stephen Bunting

If you’d offered Jonny Clayton a top-four finish and a spot in finals night at the start of the 2026 Darts Premier League, he’d have snapped your hands off.

For long-time readers of my picks this year, you’ll know I’ve been backing the Feret almost weekly, and it’s paid off big time. I’m not changing up tactics this late in the season either, and while I think 63/100 is about as short as I’d have liked for this, there’s just enough here to get me excited.

Clayton has a good record over Stephen Bunting, beating him in three of their four games this season, and even though he’s got second place locked in, he’ll want to finish strong.

Bet 3: Gerwyn Price to Beat Gian van Veen

I had high hopes for Gian van Veen at the start of the tournament, and I’d backed him in my Darts Premier League tips to secure a top-four finish and make finals night. He’s going to finish just outside, but I think it’s still been a strong debut year for the Dutchman.

Gerwyn Price needs a win to lock down third and avoid Littler in the opening semi-final at the O2 next week. He beat the Giant last week, and everything suggests that his game is in good enough shape to get it done here again.

This is the third pick where the odds have just been good enough to get involved at 60/100, so I’m OK with this making the grade. Any less, and I might swerve this game.

Bet 4: Luke Humphries vs Michael van Gerwen – Over 5.5 180s

We’re finally starting to see a bit of form from Luke Humphries, and just in the nick of time. He’s dragged his way out of a potential scrap for that final four spot with a win in Birmingham and a runner-up spot two weeks ago in Leeds.

If you’re looking for a bet on the nightly winner, Humphries would be my pick, especially as his win at the Players Championship 17 makes that ten in a row for Cool Hand Luke.

It’s always a tricky game when you’ve got Michael van Gerwen to navigate, as you never know if it’ll be prime Green Machine or a Poddington Pea that rocks up.

Lack of form is forcing my hand somewhat, but both players have been scoring well of late, and that’s prompted me to look at the 180s market. Over 5.5 is priced at 77/100 with Mystake and looks good enough to make it my final pick of the night.
