Three English teams head back to the European grind on Thursday, April 17, as Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace all look to book their ticket into the next round. I’ve got three Europa and Conference League betting tips from each of these games, paying a tidy 17/2 for my treble. Let’s jump in.

Aston Villa vs Bologna Betting Tips – Jonathan Rowe 1+ Shot on Target
I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that the 3-1 scoreline flattered Aston Villa last week. They had very little of that first half, and that Ezri Konsa goal right on half-time turned the game on its head.
With a two-goal cushion at home, this tie should be all but over, and there’s nothing to suggest that taking Villa to qualify at 1/50 or to win the game at 3/5 is particularly enticing.
One of my key takeaways from the game was just how impressive Jonathan Rowe was on that left side for Bologna. His goal in the 90th minute got Bologna right back into the tie, before they again conceded late on, which was crushing in the context of their progression.
He had six shots, with two on target and created two big chances. I’m excited to see the 22-year-old again on Thursday, and there’s value in him getting a shot on target at odds of 11/8 with BetMGM, one of the best betting sites, given that he’s as short as 4/6 with Quinnbet for the same bet.

Nottingham Forest vs Porto Betting Tips – William Gomes 1+ Shot on Target
Forest will have been absolutely delighted to get back to the City Ground all square in their tie with Porto. They were second best for much of that game, with their Portuguese hosts squandering five big chances to put the game to bed.
In terms of the match result, it’s a hard game to call. Forest haven’t been great at home, and on paper, you’d say that Porto should be the favourites to win. They caused them enough problems in the first leg to suggest that 23/10 for them to put their chances away and knock Vitor Pereira’s side out of the Europa League is good value.
But I’m still a bit on the fence about it all, so instead fallen back into the safety net that is player shots on target. Specifically, that of Porto’s William Gomes. He was outstanding in that first leg, grabbing a goal, getting three shots away and worked like a dog defensively when asked.
No Porto player has more than Gomes’ eight shots on target in the Europa League this season, and I’m more than happy to take this on with BetMGM.
Crystal Palace vs Fiorentina Predictions – Over 2.5 Goals
Crystal Palace were nothing short of superb in the first leg against Fiorentina. Who would have predicted a 3-0 win, which at the time was just their second win at home all season? They’ve since gone on to beat Newcastle in the Premier League, and it's given them some much-needed breathing room between them and an untimely relegation scrap.
With such a significant lead, Fiorentina will have to open this game up, whether they like it or not. That should suit Oliver Galsner’s side, who are strong on the counterattack.
As a result, I’m going to go for goals in this one. I did toy with the idea of taking both teams to score at 8/11, but I think if BTTS lands, over 2.5 goals is almost a lock, as the draw is no good for the Italian’s if it were 1-1. Given that you can get even money for this, it adds a bit more value to the final bet.
