Liverpool have finally realised that they’re in the Premier League and have money to spend. They’ve brought in players like nobody’s business, and it’s spring-cleaning time.

Harvey Elliott has been at the club since 2019 and came into his own in 2022 under Jurgen Klopp. In the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, Elliott played in 46 and 53 matches, in all competitions, missing just 10 Premier League games throughout.
Slot has drastically reduced his game time – with 18 in the league and 28 matches in total. The lifelong Liverpool fan will want more game time, and Slot will want to add space for the wealth of talent coming in, so we think a move is inevitable.
Harvey Elliott Transfer Odds
Liverpool have set an asking price of £40 million with a buy-back option, and £50 million without one. It’s a tall order, one that only a handful of clubs could afford, and here are the teams who’ve put their hat in the ring, with odds from bet365.
Club | Odds |
---|---|
RB Leipzig | 4/7 |
Liverpool (No Transfer) | 5/1 |
Tottenham Hotspur | 7/1 |
Newcastle United | 8/1 |
West Ham United | 10/1 |

Move from Northwest England to East Germany
This is so far the most likely option. Harvey has got several suitors, but RB Leipzig have already started talks with the Merseyside club. Leipzig are preparing to lose Xavi Simons, so Elliott heading the other direction would be a win-win, as you’d expect Elliott to get good minutes at the Red Bull Arena.
We think Elliott is most likely to take his chances in Germany, especially after the massive £116 million transfer of Florian Wirtz to Liverpool.
Stick with Slot
Harvey Elliott has already stated that his preferred option is to stay at his beloved Liverpool. He’s stable, a well-liked character and has dreams of one day captaining the side.
But without regular game time, this could be the two-time U21 Euros Champion and 2025 Player of the Tournament’s best time to leave, while his stock is still high. 5/1 could be good value if you think he’ll prefer sticking it out at Liverpool.
Stay in the Prem with Spurs
If Elliott does decide to leave, he may prefer to stay in what’s widely regarded as the best league in the world. Son’s departure means that Elliott could slot in pretty well, but Liverpool will be reluctant to give away a player to a direct-ish rival.
