Brentford are in the market for a new manager after Tottenham appointed Thomas Frank, who had been in charge of the Bees since 2018, as their head coach. Frank had a great seven years with Brentford, winning promotion to the Premier League in 2021 and then firmly establishing them in the top flight. Looking at the next Brentford manager odds with Parimatch, the club's current set-piece coach Keith Andrews and Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna were trading places as the two favourites, with Andrew's odds shortening significantly throughout Friday afternoon.

Let’s have a look at some of the main contenders.
Keith Andrews: Brentford Could Appoint From Within
It was a further blow to the Bees when the highly regarded Justin Cochrane followed Frank to Spurs. However, Brentford set-piece coach Keith Andrews has not left the club. The former Wolves and Milton Keynes Dons midfielder is a well-regarded coach and has made no secret of his desire to manage.
Brentford are a well-run club who value stability. Andrews and Kieran McKenna have been the two favourites with the bookies since Cochrane’s departure, with the former's odds shortening throughout the day on Friday. We think that it is possible that the former Republic of Ireland international will be in charge come the start of the season.
Kieran McKenna: Bees Could Go For Highly Rated Young Boss
With Frank’s highly rated coach Justin Cochrane opting to join the Dane at Spurs, Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna is a front runner, alongside Andrews. The Northern Irishman was forced to retire from playing through injury at the age of 22 and has gone on to forge a reputation as one of the best young coaches in the country.
McKenna cut his teeth with youth coaching roles at Tottenham and Manchester United, followed by spells with the first team at Old Trafford under both José Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjær. He took Ipswich from League 1 to the Premier League via back-to-back promotions, although surviving in the top division proved a bridge too far last season. The Tractor Boys’ demotion is unlikely to damage McKenna’s reputation; he gained many plaudits for what he achieved with limited resources.
McKenna was favourite on Friday morning but the odds have shifted considerably in favour of Andrews. We still feel that this is a possibility though. Brentford will be keen to continue their growth, last season they were in the fight for European places, and McKenna would welcome the chance to go to the next level with an established Premier League club.
Kjetil Knutsen: Norwegian in the Frame
Kjetil Knutsen, 56, has built a reputation as a tactically innovative coach who plays exciting, attacking football. He has been in charge at Bodø/Glimt since 2018, winning four Eliteserien titles in five seasons and reaching the Europa League semi-finals last season.
Knutsen could well be ready to test himself in the Premier League and could be an excellent fit at Brentford. While others are considered more likely, this is a possibility and 7/1 represents decent value.
Roy Keane: Shock Return to Management on the Cards?
Roy Keane has not had a first-team management role since his time at Ipswich Town ended in 2011. Since his departure from Portman Road the former Manchester United midfielder has had coaching spells with Ireland, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, as well as building a career as a pundit.
While Keane’s playing pedigree and football knowledge are beyond question, we feel that this is unlikely. Keane made a promising start to his managerial career when he guided Sunderland to promotion. But after so long away from front-line management we feel that Brentford will turn to someone with more recent experience. And it is doubtful whether Keane himself would want to swap the pundit’s sofa for the dugout.
Ange Postecoglou: London Managerial Merry-go-round?
Outgoing Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is rated as a 10/1 shot. He has undoubted pedigree and would be available without the need to pay compensation. Also, Postecoglou himself may have a point to prove after he was sacked by Spurs despite winning the Europa League.
However, we don’t really see this happening. We think that the Australian may prefer a club who could offer European football and that Brentford are more likely to appoint Andrews or McKenna.
