Really, the only thing keeping Manchester United in the conversation is the link between Viktor Gyökeres and former Sporting boss Rúben Amorim. As soon as the star manager made the move to Old Trafford in 2024, talks of a potential reunion began.
However, we don’t think that’s enough. Gyökeres’ ambitions to play in the Champions League are well-documented, and Amorim has stated they haven’t spoken about a move. In fact, he has even advised Viktor not to join if his focus is only on Champions League football.
