One hundred and twenty-eight players take to the oche at Minehead in one of the most exciting PDC events of the year. It is, of course, the self-proclaimed ‘FA Cup of darts’, and as we approach the first round, the UK Open darts odds are live. Luke Littler is looking to defend his win here last year, but with a random draw and no seeds, it’s anyone’s game. Just ask Andrew Gilding, the 2023 winner at a whopping 200/1. We can’t promise a winner at those sorts of odds, but we’ve still got some great tips, the latest odds and where to bet for the 2026 Darts UK Open.

UK Open Darts Betting Odds

We’re more excitable than a Ricky Evans walk-on for this year's tournament, and we’ve beaten the best online bookies to jump, so the UK Darts Open odds aren’t live yet. But, rest assured, as soon as they are, we will list them below. Bookmark this page to make sure you don’t miss the early markets, as this is generally where the value is.

UK Open Darts Betting Tips

Organised chaos. That’s probably the best way to describe one of the PDC’s premier events. It can be a bit of a minefield in Minehead, but we’re up to the challenge. Check out our UK Open darts tips below for who we’re backing in 2026.

Info box icon

Luke Littler

Is it a cop out to pick Littler to win these days? He will start as odds-on favourite, and even though there are 127 other players all battling against him, it’s hard to suggest that his UK Darts Open betting odds are unfair.

He obviously heads into Minehead as the current World Champion, world number one, and of course, is defending his title here from 2025. It only took him until his second tournament of 2026 to get a win – the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters – and he has previously stated how much he loves the organised chaos of the UK Open.

Even though the odds will be short, Littler is the man to beat and the first of our UK Open darts predictions.

Info box icon

Gian van Veen

In a world without Littler, all the talk would be about this Dutch phenomenon. At 23-years-old Gian van Veen is looking the most likely to push the two Lukes over the next few years and probably way beyond that.

We backed The Giant to win the World Championships back in December at 16/1, and he came mightily close before losing in the final to Littler. He reached the quarter-finals of the UK Open last year and reached the final of the Bahrain Darts Masters in January.

No one will want to face van Veen in his current form, and while he’s no longer able to sneak under the radar in these major ranking events, he’ll be there or thereabouts for the UK Open.

Info box icon

Josh Rock

Last year's semi-finalist, Josh Rock, makes up the third of our UK Open darts betting tips. The Northern Irishman is set up for a huge 2026, and he’s already proved to be one of the most dangerous players on the circuit.

His big-stage form is exceptional, including semi-finals at the World Matchplay and World Series of Darts Finals, plus a Grand Slam quarter-final and a run to the Players Championship Finals in 2025.

Like Gian van Veen, he’s a household name now, so his orders will be relatively short, but still bigger than Littler or Humphries if you’re looking for more meat on the bone.

The bookies love the UK Open. There’s something about an electrician from Stevenage taking on a multi-World Champion like Luke Littler or Michael van Gerwen that really gets the juices flowing. As a result, they go to town with added betting markets, which we’ve highlighted below.

No fuss, simply who you think will win a game of darts. If they win, you win.

Winners don’t matter here. Simply bet on whether the total number of legs played in a match will be over or under the line set by the bookie.

For longer UK Darts Open betting odds, you can bet on the exact scoreline – “11-10” for a nail-biting thriller or “11-1” for a complete walkover. Whatever floats your boat, but it must be spot on.

Handicaps are designed to level the playing field. Legs can be added or removed from either player, and then adjusted in the final scoreline. For example, if you bet on Gary Anderson at -4 legs, he must win the game by five legs to win.

Pick when you think a player will get knocked out of the tournament, a real cracker for adding excitement at every stage of the UK Open.

Which player do you think will earn the classic call of “one-hundred and eighty!” the most times? This market’s as simple as that. It can be applied to individual games and tournament totals.

Who’ll smash through a ton first in a match? It’s a brilliant market to spice up the action right from the off.

The ultimate showstopper. If you reckon there'll be a perfect 9-darter during the match, this one’s for you.

Who’ll be the last man standing at Butlins in 2026? Thrldis one’s the biggie – the UK Open champion and outright betting when all is said and done.

Stick with title sponsors Ladbrokes

Jonathan Askew: Whenever you’ve got a bookie as the main sponsor, it’s usually the best place to bet on that tournament. For the UK Open, that’s Ladbrokes. I love the brand anyway, but I know from experience that they will have the most markets, promotions and bet boosts of any of their competitors this week. They go above and beyond, and rightly so, given their name is above the door. If I can point you towards just one bookie for the UK Darts Open, Ladbrokes would be it.

Additional UK Open Darts Insights

In addition to the UK Open Darts odds and betting tips we’ve already given you, we also wanted to expand on some insights and betting strategies about the tournament. If you’re the kind of punter looking to make your own picks, this section is for you.

Betting trends are one of the best places to start, and with 20+ years of the UK Open being held at Butlins, Minehead, there’s plenty to go on. Here are a few nuggets for you to sink your chops into.

  • List Icon

Four of the last six finals have been won by two legs or fewer.

  • List Icon

14 of the last 23 winners have been first-time winners. It’s one of the few majors where the each-way outrights markets really come into their own as long-shots have a great chance.

  • List Icon

Only four players have won the UK Darts Open more than once – Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, James Wade and Raymond van Barneveld. Between them, they make up for 56.5% of the total number of titles.

  • List Icon

20 of the last 23 runners-up were making their first UK Open final. Check out the “to reach the final” market for added value.

  • List Icon

Upsets are common. The FA Cup factor makes for some interesting draws and plenty of upsets. Most notable have been Aden Kirk beating Phil Taylor in 2014 and Barry Lynn beating Gary Anderson in 2016.

  • List Icon

Nine-darters have occurred in 11 of the 23 editions of the UK Open, basically making them a coin flip.

  • List Icon

The highest one-match average was from Niko Springer in 2025. He finished up on 115.92 in his first-round match.

Key Players to Watch

With 128 players all competing this week, there’s a lot going on, and the winner could come from one of a few players. There are a couple of standouts, though, aside from the ones mentioned in our UK Open Darts predictions above, and we’ve listed them below.

Luke Humphries

Luke Humphries will enter the week at Minehead as world number two and has a great chance of getting his first major of 2026 on the board. He’s made two UK Open finals already (2011 and 2024), and he’s been solid enough in the Middle East at both the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Masters.

Michael van Gerwen

There are signs that MVG might be back. He played superbly to win the Bahrain Masters in January and started to get some of that swag back that’s been missing for a couple of years now, if we’re being honest. As a three-time UK Open champion, you can’t write off van Gerwen, and given his current form, a lot of people will be backing the Green Machine to make that four.

Nathan Aspinall

The 2019 champion, Nathan Aspinall, could be in with a chance in Minehead as well. He’s had a solid start to 2026 and was devastatingly good against Luke Humphries in Bahrain, beating him 6-3 with a 104.43 average. He will need to maintain those levels, but if he can get a favourable draw, Aspinall could be a dark horse.

UK Open Darts Schedule

The 2026 UK Darts Open schedule is crammed in over three action-packed days from the 6th to the 8th of March. Here’s how it all plays out:
