Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a free agent after his contract expired on 30 June. Everton's decision not to renew means the 28-year-old is seeking a new club to revive a career that has been plagued by injuries.

After nine years with The Toffees, his time served has ended on a bit of a damp squib. He bagged 71 goals in 273 appearances at Goodison Park but only managed 26 appearances in 2024/25, scoring just three times in the process.
There’s little doubt as to Calvert-Lewin’s talents when fully fit, and as a free transfer, he won’t struggle to find suitors amongst Europe’s elite, but the question remains, who’s going to take the punt?

Calvert-Bluein: Chelsea 8/13 Favourites to Unwrap Former Toffee
Todd Boehly’s mission to complete Football Manager on the hardest setting by signing every player on the transfer market appears to be ongoing.
The Blues are a shockingly short 8/13 to land Calvert-Lewin this summer as they remarkably look to bolster an attack that has already seen Liam Delap and Estevao added to it in the last few weeks.
Where Calvert-Lewin will fit into the team is anyone’s guess. Chelsea already has 14 attacking players on the books, so from his point of view, it’s a move that makes little sense.
On Tuesday, the Liverpool Echo reported that “Chelsea are not in talks with Dominic Calvert-Lewin” to dampen the noise around the transfer.
His 8/13 price tag is one we’d only pursue for deals that were as good as done, but with most thinking it won’t get over the line and the fact that it’s ill-fitted for both parties, we can confidently swerve this from a value standpoint.
DCL a Fashionably Late Fit for United at 16/1
It’s no secret that Manchester United is in dire need of a rebuild under Ruben Amorim.
They limped to a 15th-place finish and were beaten in the final of the Europa League to deny any saving grace at Old Trafford.
One of the biggest concerns has been their lack of goals. They netted just 44 times in 38 games last season and have targeted a change in the forward line as a priority.
Getting deals like Matheus Cunha over the line and hotly tipped to add Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo will help, but depth is still needed, and Calvert-Lewin would provide that.
Amorim has been vocal in his support for the misfiring Rasmus Højlund, but four Premier League goals in 32 matches is far from the return a £70 million transfer fee commands.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s transfer odds of 16/1 look excellent value here.
It’s a move that suits both parties, and while he might not lock down a week in, week out starting role, he’ll get plenty of game time as a backup with the chance to rekindle the form that has earned him 11 England caps.
Tyne to Shine? Newcastle 11/1 to Land Calvert-Lewin
Links to a move to the North-East have been circulating for several transfer windows now.
He’s been touted as an ideal replacement for Callum Wilson, whose time on Tyneside looks to be up as his contract expired on June 30th.
However, game time will likely be a sticking point in getting this one over the line. Alexander Isak is one of the best strikers in the world right now, and Eddie Howe is keen to give William Osula more minutes following his move last summer from Sheffield United.
The Toon Army’s involvement in the Champions League will require more bodies through the door to cope with the added fixture list. But his injury record is going to play a big part in this deal, which is something they’ve had to manage with Callum Wilson.
A burning question is, would it not be easier (and cheaper) to renew Wilson’s contract if they were in the market for this type of player? The answer is probably yes, so even though odds of 11/1 look generous, we’d be surprised if this one came to fruition.
