With seven games spanning 10 hours of live (almost) uninterrupted action, it’s the stuff dreams are made of on Saturday in the Premier League. To add the icing on the cake, we’ve got a cracker of a 5-fold acca paying a whopping 40/1 for our biggest punt of the season so far.
With Liverpool hosting Everton in the early kick-off, it’s a humdinger of a start to the day, as Arne Slot’s side look to make it five from five at the top. Later, Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United host Chelsea as he looks to dodge that impending P45, and in the late game, Brentford make the short trip across the A4 to Fulham, rounding off a value-packed day on the betting markets.

Bet 1: Brighton vs Tottenham – Tottenham to Win
Life is good at Tottenham. Third in the league, three wins from four and a solid win midweek to kick off their Champions League campaign. Thomas Frank has changed the philosophy after a chaotic time under Postecoglou, with a more balanced, controlled approach, which seems to be paying off.
Brighton, on the other hand, have been a real mixed bag. They were as impressive in their 2-1 win over Manchester City as they were poor in losing last weekend at Bournemouth. Fabian Hürzeler hasn’t quite got the balance of the team right, and defensively, they’ve looked all at sea at times. At 2/1, Spurs make all the running here and look the value play for the Frank revolution to charge on.
Bet 2: Burnley vs Nottingham Forest – Under 2.5 Goals
Burnley’s cautious approach to Premier League survival and Forest’s lack of quality in the final third make this a numbers game, as much as anything. Just four goals scored each, and Turf Moor looking like a tough place to play, highlighted by Liverpool scraping past with a 1-0 win last weekend.
Expected goals (xG) support the bet: Burnley 0.85 xG/90 and Forest 1.15 xG/90. Odds of 4/5 have enough to make this our second value pick.
Bet 3: West Ham vs Crystal Palace – Over 9.0 Corners
West Ham and Crystal Palace are two teams on very contrasting journeys. The Hammers languish in 18th with just one win, and a manager in Graham Potter on the verge of the sack. Palace, on the other hand, are now 16 games unbeaten. However, as is often the way with football betting, our heads have been turned by some boisterous corner numbers.
West Ham have the highest average match corners in the league, with 13.75, and have covered the +9 corner spread in all four matches. In fact, they’ve covered the 11+ spread in all four games as well. Palace are a little less prolific, averaging 9.00, but have covered the 9.5 spread in 50% of games. West Ham’s love for the corner flag makes 4/5 the value play at 9+ total corners.
Bet 4: Man United vs Chelsea – Chelsea to Win
Man United look in no man's land at the moment. The Ruben Amorim era is hanging on by a thread, and their 3-0 drubbing in the Manchester derby last weekend did little to boost morale around the place. A solitary win over newly promoted Burnley was sandwiched by lacklustre performances against Arsenal and Fulham, and things aren’t getting any easier as they host high-flying Chelsea in the 17:30 kick-off.
The Blues are on an almost completely opposite trajectory. Eight points from a possible 12 is a solid start, and they’ve looked like a team that is well organised and packed with talent going forward. Defensively, they look a little shaky, and they were humbled midweek in their 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, but odds of 29/20 to add more pressure on Amorim are too good to pass up and make the grade for bet number four.
Bet 5: Fulham vs Brentford – BTTS Yes
Brentford have had BTTS land in each of their away games and one of their home games (75%) so far. Fulham have landed in three of four overall, so the numbers look favourable, especially when you can get odds of 3/4.
We’re expecting a tight game, and we considered the draw as an option if you’re looking for a slightly higher price, but both teams have been a little inconsistent to head into that market with any conviction, meaning BTTS yes is the safe pick.
