Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United side are looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games on Monday, welcoming an out-of-form Bournemouth to Old Trafford. A win could land the Red Devils in the European spots as they look to build on an inconsistent, but mainly positive, first half of the season.

For Andoni Iraola’s side, they’re searching for their first win in seven games, as all the good work put in at the start of the season has slowly been unravelled in recent weeks. If results were to go against them, they could find themselves just four points from the relegation places. An unthinkable scenario at the end of October as they beat Forest and a stretch of eight games without defeat.

It's a fixture that's unpredictable, with both teams showing flashes of brilliance and despair this season. But from a betting perspective, it’s an exciting game to preview, as we look ahead to our Manchester United vs Bournemouth predictions.

Bet 1: Manchester United to Win

It was almost 12 months to the day that Bournemouth rocked up to Sir Matt Busby Way and trounced United 3-0. Amorim was a little over a month into his reign as head coach, so there was some slack given until he found the right formula for the team.

You could argue he’s still searching, but one thing’s for certain, they’ve improved dramatically since. Are they where he wants them? Probably not, but they're moving in the right direction, albeit slowly.

Backing Man United to win is still a risk these days. A 1-1 draw with West Ham and a 1-0 defeat to Everton in their last two games were very much five points dropped. But their general play has improved.

Bournemouth are heading in the wrong direction, and quickly. No wins in six mean that only Burnley and Wolves have picked up fewer points in the last eight games. They’re shipping goals for fun away from home (19 conceded in seven games), and Iraola can’t seem to get a tune out of Antoine Semenyo away from the Vitality Stadium, with just three goals and no assists in seven.

Getting 5/6 for Manchester United to win looks a big price, and given the Cherries have been poor away from home, we’re adding it as the first part of our Manchester United vs Bournemouth bet builder.

Bet 2: Bryan Mbeumo 2+ Shots on Target

It’s not a huge surprise to see that Manchester United’s uptick in form has coincided with some of the best attacking metrics in the league. Only Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have scored more, and a lot of that has been down to the form of players like Bryan Mbeumo.

The Cameroonian international has had at least one shot on target in all but two of Man United’s games this season. He had a season high of four against Wolves at the weekend, and he’s starting to really find his place in the team, cutting in from the right, supported by the likes of Cunha and Fernandes.

He’s had 22 shots on target so far this season, at an average of 1.51 per 90. Granted, under the 2+ we need for this market, but Bournemouth have been very poor at the back away from home, and if Man United are to win all three points, he’ll need to be at the centre of their attacking numbers.

Bet 3: Antoine Semenyo 2+ Shots on Target

The goals have dried up for Semenyo over the last few weeks, but the output has been impressively high. He’s still averaging 1.36 shots on target per 90, and has had at least one in all but two games this season.

He’s integral to Bournemouth’s attacking play, and he will enjoy coming up against that left side of Dalot and Shaw, who, for the former, he caused no end of issues in last season's demolition job.

It will be Semenyo’s last game before jetting off to AFCON, and he’ll no doubt want to leave on a high. We’re getting a huge price of 5/2 here for a player who has form at Old Trafford and is the final pick for our bet builder.
